Film Study: Catholic AAA 2026 EDGE Rushers

For this series we will be looking at 10 players in each position throughout the next three cycles. The Archbishop Stepinac prospect can also be used as a LB in certain formations. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On film, Guinyard displays a lot of tools needed for his position. He is a ball tracker who can cover both sidelines. He is a solid tackler and a good IQ understanding the potential next moves and plays of the opposing offense. He is a physical rusher who displays good strength and solid hand placement to pass through blockers. He has a solid motor and is a quick athlete which helps him on the EDGE.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Guinyard is a good prospect who has a solid tool bag of moves he can use to reach the backfield. He is a big playmaker and is clutch when needed. He understands leverage and uses his size and strength to his advantage. He has a quick first step and a good toolbar of moves he can use to attack lineman. Standing at 6'1" 215 pounds, he displays a solid build for the EDGE position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Palazzola is one of the more athletic rushers in the state. He can play multiple positions on the line and does so with success. He has good body control and uses his strength and size paired with his tool bag of moves to dip past lineman or straight up run through them. He is a good gap closer and uses his physicality to shed blocks with ease.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Palazzola is an impressive playmaker for the Monsignor Farrell team. Standing at 6'0" 215 pounds, Savino displays a solid build for the EDGE position. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Savino accumulated 3.5 sacks and 3 hurries with 28 tackles this past season. His role should increase this fall and see more playing time and stats to add to his athleticism. Savino is a good block shedder and displays good hands with solid leverage to breakthrough the line and make solid tackles which are another area he excels in. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Savino is an intriguing prospect who has the tools and size needed for the position.
