He is a true downhill thumper that can get off blocks quickly in-between the tackles, takes good angles to knife into the backfield and shows he can apply pressure from various angles of the defense. He shows quick change of direction abilities, natural bend around the corner and does a good job breaking down in the open field when making tackles in space. He shows he can play physical near the LOS in press coverage, has recovery speed if beat over the top and flashes he can come up on the edge and make tackles at or behind the line. He is a fluid athlete with natural hands, big play abilities after the catch and is a highly instinctual safety that covers a ton of ground, forces bad throws over the middle and is an excellent open field tackler. He shows he can peel off in zone coverage, baits quarterbacks into poor throws and plays with disciplined eyes and good patience downfield. He flashes good hip fluidity in transition and is a very physical tackler out in space, running his feet through contact and taking the proper angles in the open field.
