Each season, there are a handful of players who surpass expectations. For a variety of reasons, there are also a handful of players who are more difficult to rank than others. These six players could skyrocket up the rankings, and all are a bit difficult to rank, mostly because of my bullish expectations for this season.

The Quarterback rankings were a pain to rank. As I've said a lot, most of the top guys have limited Varsity experience. Sam falls into that category, yet his talent is obvious.

So, now we wait for the season to begin. In short, I'm hoping for Sam to show us why he's as highly touted as he is. I'd love to see that arm put on full display against Brother Rice's grueling schedule.

Dallas was a hard rank. I even considered the Watch List again for him, as it's difficult to rank players coming back from a severe injury.

Dallas is a little different. For one, he was someone I was supremely confident in pre-injury. Dallas had legit D1 athleticism. Coming back from injury, Dallas has been competing at camps, and I even have two testing data points, and I like what his testing numbers are, considering the torn ACL.

So, time will tell if [player_tooltip player_id='466870' first='Dallas' last='Moody'] is back at 100%. While I see a lot of high school athletes regress after injury, I am more confident in Dallas as I've been for anyone. Can't wait to see what he's able to accomplish this season!

Seaholm doesn't play favorites when it comes to their offensive scheme. As expected, Will had a really good debut Varsity season last fall. Though, like most Sophomores on Varsity, there were some growing pains.

This season, I'm looking out for another massive jump forward. As the pitch option, Will is going to have the highest explosive play upside of any of his teammates. He'll earn a ton of touches outside the tackles in open space. I'm hoping to see a slight jump in vision and explosiveness.

Will also has a few highlights at DB. Although I currently feel his upside is as an offensive weapon, added explosiveness could increase his upside as a defender. As long as Will has done his job in the weight room this offseason, he'll have an amazing season.

One of the most interesting prospects in the 2027 Rankings.

I really enjoyed Andrew's sophomore season tape at Gaylord. He played a similar role to Shawn Foster from a couple years ago at Grand Ledge (or D. Flemister at Detroit MLK last year).
That said, Andrew is an athlete at QB, and the offense is built around his athletic ability. I feel that Andrew is best when improvising outside of the pocket or on designed runs. When Andrew is improvising, he does a good job scanning the field for an open man. When someone's open, he tosses it. When nobody is open, Andrew is excellet at finding a lane, tucking, and running.

Now, Andrew is at Alpena. I fully expect to step into Alpena and ball out. Can't wait to see Andrew in the Green and White!

Quinn's got the tools. I've mentioned Quinn's Sophomore season tape before, but again, it shows a lot of promise. Defending the pass, Quinn looked solid last season- his effort was always phenomenal. This offseason, I'm extremely confident that Quinn has significantly improved his IQ and overall pass defense fundamentals. Plus, Quinn has always been a willing run defender.

Quinn reminds me of a few safeties from over the years. Most of which ended up developing into good Division 2 prospects. I feel that's Quinn's ceiling.

Take a look at Wyatt's tape. He checks a lot of boxes. The biggest box he checks for me is explosiveness off the edge. Wyatt has a couple of highlights where he explodes off the ball faster than the tackle can get out of his stance, easily turning the corner and wrecking the play. Plus, Wyatt shows decent bend. Especially if Wyatt's size is accurate, he could be a major sleeper in this class.

Honestly, I feel that Wyatt needs to prove himself in the offseason. Camp season is almost over, so next offseason will likely be vital for his recruitment. If Wyatt can put up even better performances this season and attend a few D2 camps next season, I could easily see Wyatt earning attention from several Michigan colleges.

Each season, there are a handful of players who surpass expectations. For a variety of reasons, there are also a handful of players who are more difficult to rank than others. These six players could skyrocket up the rankings, and all are a bit difficult to rank, mostly because of my bullish expectations for this season.
