One of the first running backs in the 2027 class that caught my attention at the SDSU prospect camp on 6/9 was Newton's Isaiah Hansen, during the testing session. He showed off a very explosive broad jump which was recorded at 9'8 and that wasn't the only eval I got on Isaiah in Brookings a couple Mondays ago. He showed off a great amount of elusiveness in the reps I watched quickly displaying his sudden change of direction and the eye test alone, possessed constantly long strides in the reps I watched in Brookings. Surely an intriguing one to watch out for in Iowa's 2027 class at the RB position as a camp stockriser up the Iowa rankings in my eyes. Twitter

Lincoln looks to appeared to be one of our WR MVPs from our Prep Redzone Illinois Showcase, as it was evident too in my live eval as to where he stood out in Brookings at the SDSU prospect camp. Lincoln first caught my attention in Brookings at the broad jump where he unleashed the fluidity that was there while watching him go thru his broad jump which clocked as a 8'10, but looked really good on my eye test from an upside perspecitve. He showed off that constant fluidity in the later individual reps, where Lincoln showed off his quick releases at the top of his routes. The 2026 WR out of Oswego East, popped out to me further with his intuition as a route-runner as one that could understanding how to win with leverage against the corner he went up against in live reps. Surprisely, Lincoln holds just one FCS offer from the Pioneer League, as I would expect his summer to pick up on the recruiting trail here soon.

It seems to be just about everywhere I am in attendance now for camps, as it's almost an expectation that Thomas Niggeler of Pillager is going to standout, which was the still the case during the 6/9 SDSU prospect camp. The 6'1 165 pounder, was another one that showed off explosive traits that it didn't take long to notice where they were going to take him which started its case in Brookings at the broad jump for me. The live reps have impressed me over the summer at at least three camps for Thomas, as a 2027 WR that I feel is about blow up in his junior season at Pillager.

The second running back to catch my attention in Jackrabbits country a couple Monday's ago, hails from the Cornhusker State, in Papio South running back Derek Jones. When we threw the pads on, holy smokes did the twitch that this 2026 tailback has pop out quickly especially during the individual drills I watched. The suddeness Derek gets upfield with was evident, and I love the way this young man can cling quickly with his vision and find the open grass in the open field as it takes him no time to get there. The quick tape I watched shows that Derek will shape you out of your cleats. The couple NAIA schools that Derek has offers from in Nebarska and Iowa, have surely done their early homework in the live eval, as I feel this young man is due for more attention too with college offers.

Another West Fargo 2026 prospect that I still can't believe still doesn't have his first offer yet, is [player_tooltip player_id='1113068' first='Aiden' last='Samek']. We talked about Aiden a bit in our quarterback standouts, how he still has out the most outstanding high traffic area receptions I have seen thus far during camp season (and I've seen a lot of reps) but that's not all Aiden did well at SDSU. I have always been impressed with Aiden's change of direction, but I felt he has even gotten more twitchy this camp season. It showed off the most with his route-running, which is another upwards curve that Aiden has made in the right direction this summer. He showed off great hands for a running back as a prospect that I feel oozes with position flexibility at the next-level. Aiden is also a young man I would pound the table for from a character perspective that should have his first offer soon.

Oliver actually just picked up his first football offer tonight in the NSIC, as we have had a front row seat for a few years now, but was a 2026 wide receiver that impressed me in Brookings on 6/9 which was the first live eval I have gotten in a while. You can't miss on his verified 100-meter speed, which had a state record at 10.48 with decent wind in his face from a source I know which makes his speed even more impressive. During the individual drills, Oliver was a wide receiver you could grasp has excellent technique as a route-runner with his starts and even watching his change of direction, he shows that he doesn't just have the impressive straight line speed either. Oliver showed off in Brookings how tight he was with his angles, as the athletic sense he showed off was on point. A BIG senior season is upcoming for Oliver with the Deuel Cardinals, as you wouldn't know that he missed his junior season and has that absurd 100-mter dash number at his disposal. Twitter
