make the drive from Pillager. It was certainly worth it too, as Niggeler was our WR MVP out of the loaded group at the ProMN Athletics Spring Developmental Academy practice on Sunday in Edina. With a great frame that was geared up to add a ton of weight at the next level, Niggeler had a huge catch radius, impressively-sticky hands, and some of the best footwork in attendance. The Class AA standout producer was consistently smooth during drill work, and he transitioned well to routes on air, where his light, powerful feet and COD ability showed up all over the route tree. Plus, Niggeler could drop his hips and break down well when needed, and his size and catch radius were an obvious advantage in a competitive setting. Going to be a massive senior season for this small school pass-catcher!

is in the midst of a strong junior campaign on the track. This outdoor season also followed what was a successful junior campaign on the gridiron, no doubt aided and backed up by Niggeler’s now-verified track speed. The Huskies‘ two-way contributor has posted a 11.66 100M, 23.68 200M, and 20’9″ long jump this spring on the track, numbers that will surely aid him once the Summer Camp SZN gets going.
No consolidated highlights, but you can still gather that Niggeler is a ballhawk from the secondary who is more than fast enough to hang with any WRs on his schedule working vertical. He’s also a reliable pass-catching weapon with good ball skills who is impactful as a kick returner too. The 180 lber. is a physical tackler from his CB spot and has the speed to act as the backside pursuer successfully, and his closing speed earned him some TFLs in 2025. I think he’s going to have a monster season that could really earn the Pillager product some D2 looks.

It seems to be just about everywhere I am in attendance now for camps, as it’s almost an expectation that Thomas Niggeler of Pillager is going to standout, which was the still the case during the 6/9 SDSU prospect camp. The 6’1 165 pounder, was another one that showed off explosive traits that it didn’t take long to notice where they were going to take him which started its case in Brookings at the broad jump for me. The live reps have impressed me over the summer at at least three camps for Thomas, as a 2027 WR that I feel is about blow up in his junior season at Pillager.
