Tate was also a WR top performer at one of our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcases in Sioux Falls a little over a year ago. He also has very agile change of direction which on tape, he has used to his advantage to get additonal yards after the catch. Cole is extremely fluid when he gets downhill and that downhill presence looks damaging to me if you get in front of him in the open field especially into the second level. He's taken a step up in his senior season utilizing his size and strength to overwhelm defensive linemen at the point of attack and looks even better with his pad-level. You can also gauge more instinctive movement with watching his first step. He to me, is a sleeper in this 2026 class that is a smooth route-runner that gets seperation well with all the athletic tools he has at his disposal. Another area that has really grasped in Karsten's senior season on tape aligns with how much has hands have developed as he has smooth concentration when the ball comes his way. In my eyes, there isn't a tight end in this two-state radius in the 2027 class that is a better blocker than Austin is. The leverage he gets on every block is constant as he has overwhelming hands that just do not stop working his tail off. As a pass-catcher Austin is always one to watch for when he gets off his blocks as he can get into the open field quick.
