Film Study: 2026 QB's - Prep Redzone

Throughout the summer, we will be looking at the 2026, 2027, 2028 NY recruiting classes. While stats show numbers, film shows the entire story. For this series we will be looking at 30 players in each position throughout the next three cycles. In this first edition of QB Film Study we have [player_tooltip player_id='1260032' first='Archie' last='Jones'], [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan'], [player_tooltip player_id='735876' first='Julian' last='Guzman'], [player_tooltip player_id='473979' first='Justus' last='Kleitz'], and [player_tooltip player_id='839182' first='Peyton' last='Robinson'].    The CBA-Albany QB stands at 6'1″ 185-pounds. Coming off an impressive season of forty four touchdowns and just two interceptions. He currently holds an offer from Cornell.   In his tape, Jones displays an adequate pocket awareness and the ability to read a defense. He understands pressure and can use his legs to create plays down the field. His biggest strength is anticipation, he makes throws most QB's wouldn't with a beautiful touch and accuracy. He excels down the field with throws 30+ yards or more. His mechanics are solid and show an understanding of delivering a solid ball.   Jones is a polished QB in need of minimal work to mechanics and footwork. He has the ability to succeed at the next level.        Lehigh has their 2026 QB in [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan']. Standing at 6'4" 190-pounds, he displays a solid frame for the QB position. Coan is next in line in Sayville's QB factory.   Coan displays a quick release with steady mechanics delivering the ball across the field with accuracy. He can hit deep balls and his tape displays plays showing accuracy with each throw. Across the season he held a 65% completion percentage showing he is one of the more accurate QB's in the state. He can escape the pocket and create plays down the field. He is a hard physical runner who is hard to tackle   Accuracy is the name of the game for [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan'] as he excels in hitting his throws and making the right reads throughout his film. Mechanics and footwork can use some fine tweaking; however, Coan is easily a top QB in the state with an impressive Junior tape.      Committed to Maryland for Baseball, Guzman displays the potential to be the next two-sport NY product. Standing at 6'0", 185-pounds, the Iona Prep QB has an average build for the QB position.   Guzman has easily the strongest arm in the state as he launches balls down the field with ease and accuracy. He is a talented athlete who displays his athleticism on each rep whether escaping the pocket and making a nice throw or running for a huge gain. Option, Play Action and RPO game are his strengths as he is deadly and hard to plan for in each aspect.   Guzman is sneaky QB on this list who uses his outstanding athleticism to create mismatches across the field. With some added practice in each category, Guzman can easily make a case for the top NY QB.      The two-sport athlete hailing from Iroquois HS, stands atop the record books as the Section VI passing yards leader with one year remaining. As a junior he led the state in passing yards with 3,234 yards. Standing at 6'1" 180-pounds Kleitz has an average build for the QB position.   His vision is outstanding. Seeing the field is easy and he can read defenders minds before they can read their own. He is a true playmaker who can turn nothing into something. His arm strength is outstanding pairing with solid accuracy. He can use his legs to create plays and escape the pocket making him a dual-threat in that aspect.   Klutz displays confidence and shows a flare to his game making difficult look easy. One of my favorite QB's in the state should receive a rankings bump in a month.      Standing at 6'1" 180-pounds, Robinson has an average build for the QB position. Coming off a breakout Junior season where he compiled over 2,600 yards and 32 touchdowns.   In his film, Robinson makes his case for the states top QB. He has a pretty deep ball which is delivered with solid accuracy. He stays calm and collected in the pocket and can hit throws across the field with accuracy. He can use his legs and become a dual-threat prospect, but his first reaction is to throw, using his outstanding IQ to read a defense.   Robinson is a steady riser in the Prep Redzone rankings for a good reason. On tape he is easily a top QB in the state. He has a lot of hype around him making him a must watch as we enter the fall.
