2028 OL New Additions

The 2028 offensive line class is shaping up to be an elite group of players. We had nine ranked offensive linemen, including seven in the top 24 in our initial rankings. In this recent rankings update, we added seven players to the rankings and another five[player_tooltip player_id='1659012' first='Malik' last='Bennett'] to the watchlist.   Meet the new guys in this 2028 OL new additions piece.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2028 OL New Additions</h2>    Holmes is our highest-ranked debutant in the rankings, starting all the way up at 16th after being completely off our radar in January. Holmes has hit several megacamps early this summer, earning several offers from teams in attendance, such as South Florida and East Carolina. A high-upside prospect, Holmes doesn't have much film, but can play either guard or tackle.     Strayhorn plays on an excellent Palisades offensive line and flew onto the radar with an early Howard offer and some strong play in camps this spring. A compact run-blocker at left tackle, I think Strayhorn has the look of a guy who could grow a bit more and turn into a high-level tackle prospect.     Hollifield has great upside thanks to his frame, but he's already played well despite his lower weight. He's an excellent basketball player and great rebounder, evidence of his unique athletic profile. He didn't just play as a left tackle, but played well enough to earn all-conference honors and if he can add some more weight, he has the potential to play at the FBS level.     Hall was on our watchlist and played his way into the rankings as he cracked the rotation as a freshman. He played around 265 last season, but his frame suggests he should be able to add some more good weight and play over 300 pounds in the near future. He flashes great power and hands, and we like his upside.     Wedderburn flew way under the radar and I only found him on the film of a couple of his running backs. That's a great sign, when you're good enough to stand out on other people's film. Wedderburn is a huge, powerful run blocker who looks like he has the footwork and hips to develop into an above average pass-blocker as well.     We typically don't rank players without seeing much film, but the news coming out of Union Pines in regards to his ability and potential was too good to ignore. McCullen is an extremely strong lineman with great footwork and lateral quickness. He's already over 420 pounds on his max squat and is pushing 4.8 on his short shuttle, a testament to his strength and quickness.     Washington is a physically-imposing, versatile lineman with the ability to play inside or outside. I think he'll eventually kick out to right tackle, assuming he continues to grow, but for now, his run-blocking drive has him on the inside.
