This rankings update was a big one, so we've spread it across two weeks. We focused on the offensive players last week, so this week we're breaking down the defenders. Ironically, we only recently separated edge rushers from interior linemen. Still, we have plenty of ranked interior defensive linemen, including six who moved up our 2026 rankings in this spring update. Monday, I looked at the edge rusher stock-risers, so it's time to look at the interior guys.

Johnson plays bigger than his size and flashes the ability to bully offensive linemen with power. His recruitment took a bit longer to get underway, but since the end of January, he's picked up several offers, mostly from Group of Five schools. He's developing a secondary pass-rushing move, which will help in the future, but for now, his flashes are among the best in the state.

In a class lacking true mammoths, Boulware stands out immediately on size. A true 6'5", 300 pounds, he carries the weight well and could comfortably add more. Despite his size, he maintains good pad level and balance, allowing him to hold the point of attack, something that looks like it will translate to the next level given his strength and technique. The raw numbers aren't elite, but he'll be a bot commodity in a role that has become increasingly difficult to recruit.

Dean's transition from offensive to defensive line probably didn't do much to move his recruiting stock, but I think it certainly affects his upside. It's an interesting case in that he doesn't have a ton of film on the defensive side of the ball, but the raw athletic traits are enough already to dominate in several offseason camps. Whichever defensive line coach gets him has a supremely athletic piece of clay to mold. Don't be surprised if he's a household name in college.

Stancil plays everywhere on the defensive line, but his lateral quickness is shocking and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays more on the edge in college, at least at first. His raw pass-rushing numbers are good, not great, but his potential is elite, as he plays both bigger and faster than his frame would suggest. The physical traits are there and he's developing his technique quickly.

Bispham's film is excellent, but I continue to hear huge things from those who see him every day. From players and coaches he trains with to other scouts, the feedback I'm getting on Bispham is overwhelmingly positive. Despite playing primarily on the edge in odd fronts, Bispham is likely a college three-technique who shows promise with both power and speed moves. The pass-rushing upside is great and I would not be surprised if he started to receive more Power Four attention.
