Spring Rankings Update: 2026 RB New Additions

Happy spring rankings update from the staff at Prep Redzone. This is probably my favorite rankings update of the cycle each year, as we've reevaluated several prospects after seeing them in camp settings and caught up on a few players we missed in the last update immediately after the season. We've got a loaded schedule of rankings pieces and we started Monday with reports on the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/spring-rankings-update-2026-qb-new-additions/">2026 quarterbacks</a>.   This rankings update, I'm doing things a bit differently. Rather than simply telling you which players moved up, I'm going behind-the-scenes to say why they were added, whether it was an initial evaluation, a camp performance, or simply us being a bit late to the party after a good junior season..   After looking at the RB stock-risers, it's time to hit the 2026 RB New Additions.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spring Rankings Update: 2026 RB New Additions</h2>    A transfer to Hough isn't the only thing new for Reed, as the rising senior has completely transformed his body this offseason. He's added over 20 pounds while improving both his speed and initial burst. He'll still need to prove it's made a difference on the field, but we think he could have a huge season in 2025. He might be a late-riser, but that doesn't mean he can't make noise on the recruiting trail.     Morris has gotten better and better as a runner each year, despite having similar opportunities. He's not a workhorse, but he's a home run hitter and he can take it to the house at any moment. He keeps his feet moving and flashes runs where he not only breaks multiple tackles, but gains significant yardage after contact. If he finds space, he's tough to stop.     An impressive athlete, Iovino took on a bigger role in 2024 for Cuthbertson after being limited as a sophomore. He's not going to blow you out of the water with any one particular trait; rather, he has above average burst, balance, and long speed, three traits that show up immediately on film. That plays out in testing too, which has helped him in spring camps.     Hill hasn't been able to get as much exposure on the field behind one of the best running backs in the state, but he's making a name for himself on the camp circuit, with some strong performances in recent weeks. Because of his size, he may be limited to a scat back/change-of-pace role in college, but it's one he plays well and one most college teams desperately want in the backfield. He's able both to get to the edge and contribute as a receiver out of the backfield.     An East Surry transfer, Stevens has limited film with West Stokes, but has impressed at camps this spring. He has the potential to be a workhorse back behind a talented offensive line and we think he has a chance to have a huge senior season, if he can continue to get the reps. Stevens has good change-of-direction and will probably put on a few more pounds to his frame, giving him solid upside.     Campbell has seen his recruitment take off in recent weeks with an offer from South Georgia. The massive bowling ball of a runner has good speed and vision as well, with the advanced ability to remain patient before hitting his full speed only after getting to the second and third levels. The contact balance and power are the upside here for a guy who has limited experience as a runner and plays in a unique run-heavy system.    <h3 class="wp-block-heading">Other New 2026 RB Additions</h3>   Several of these players have been featured recently in Deep Dive articles.
