The Prep Redzone Oklahoma team camp tour kicked off Thursday morning with our first of 12 stops over the next few weeks. We began things in Sallisaw where the Black Diamonds were hosting Keys, Pocola, Stilwell and Tahlequah Sequoyah. We were able to see about 90 minutes of rapid fire football and Pocola and Sallisaw continued to grab our attention. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at four standouts from each program. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more team camp coverage!

[player_tooltip player_id='1678725' first='Brady' last='Jones'] - 2028 Athlete - Pocola

We got a chance to watch several players that really stood out on both sides of the ball. But Pocola 2028 wide receiver and outside linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1678725' first='Brady' last='Jones'] might be at the top of that list. Jones was all over the field on Thursday morning, making countless plays on both sides of the ball. Jones would first catch our attention on the defensive side of the ball. Simply put, he has a nose for the football and an engine that doesn't seem to slow down. He would then turn around and make some big catches down the field on the offensive side of the ball. Based on only 90 minutes of watching Jones, we liked him a lot at the linebacker position but his ability to be a reliable pass-catcher can't be overlooked on the offensive side.

[player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] - 2026 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Pocola

Pocola 2026 wide receiver and safety [player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] was one of the more productive wide receivers in the state last season. Hardwick would turn into an absolute star for the Indians and we were fired up to catch him in person again Thursday morning. Hardwick actually played more defense than offense on Thursday and it makes sense. Pocola knows what they have with him on the offensive side of the ball and he was very helpful to the defense as a safety. He came up with multiple interceptions as that "roaming centerfielder" in the Pocola defense. Another element that we liked was his constant coaching of his younger teammates. Hardwick was consistently helping his teammates get in the right position to make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678729' first='Braylin' last='Henry'] - 2027 Athlete - Pocola

Pocola 2027 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1678729' first='Braylin' last='Henry'] was a new name for us on Thursday morning but we came away from the team camp being the most impressed with this two-way prospect. Defensively, Henry was lining up as an edge rusher, utilizing his speed and strength to beat bigger offensive tackles. But then we watched Henry go to work on the offensive side of the ball and he was incredibly fun to watch. Whether it was as a running back, wide receiver or where Pocola needed him, Henry was a consistent playmaker. Pocola already has one reliable playmaker in Hardwick returning on offense. Throw Henry into the mix and this Pocola offense could be one of the top scoring units in the state once again. We're fired up to see more of Henry moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678731' first='Cade' last='Tate'] - 2027 Linebacker - Sallisaw

Sallisaw 2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1678731' first='Cade' last='Tate'] was probably the first player that stood out to us during the team camp on Thursday morning. Tate is the perfect example of a "tweener" prospect, where he might be playing one position right now but he projects somewhere else at the next level. We have Tate listed as a linebacker, even though he was playing on Thursday exclusively on the defensive line. But Tate is built like a prototypical inside or middle linebacker. And he certainly plays like one too. It was very fun to watch how much chaos he was causing on the line of scrimmage. Lining up as a defensive tackle, Tate was undersized against a few offensive lines but it didn't matter. He's a defender we're going to keep an eye on moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678733' first='Dagan' last='Grizzle'] - 2027 Offensive Lineman - Sallisaw

From a physical standpoint, there wasn't another player that caught our attention immediately like Sallisaw's [player_tooltip player_id='1678733' first='Dagan' last='Grizzle'] on the offensive line. Standing around 6'4-6'5, Grizzle was one of the tallest prospects at the team camp and he immediately looked like a prototypical offensive tackle. We watched Grizzle go to work at the left tackle position and he was incredibly impressive with his ability to latch onto a defender and move that defender wherever he needed to go. Grizzle is also a standout baseball player and so he has that natural athleticism to go with the size to make him a very intriguing prospect moving forward. Grizzle is a new name for us when it comes to the 2027 class but he'll be one to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678737' first='Jackson' last='Harris'] - 2026 Running Back - Sallisaw

Sallisaw 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1678737' first='Jackson' last='Harris'] has stood out for the Black Diamonds as a dual-threat quarterback over the last few years. But he has certainly been more of a run-first threat and now, the Black Diamonds are moving him to that running back position. Harris played exclusively at the running back position when we were watching on Thursday morning. And it seemed like every time Harris got the ball in his hands, he was picking up at least six to seven yards and he also broke several long runs throughout the morning. Harris ran for 1,000 yards last season and we were very impressed with Sallisaw's run-game in general. With Harris leading the way in 2026, the Black Diamonds have a chance to be pretty competitive in Class 4A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] - 2027 Quarterback - Pocola

Pocola 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] was one of the breakout stars of the 2024 football season. Posey was somewhat of an unknown coming into the fall and that didn't last long. Posey put up some monster numbers in his first season under center and based on what we saw on Thursday, that production could go up even more. The Indians are going to rely on that passing game considering the talent they have returning at wide receiver and having a quarterback like Posey, who can let it fly from anywhere on the field. The moonshot deep ball was on full display on Thursday as he was launching bombs throughout the morning. As Posey and his receivers gain chemistry, this offense will get even more explosive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678735' first='Kase' last='Adams'] - 2027 Quarterback - Sallisaw

Sallisaw 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1678735' first='Kase' last='Adams'] is our final standout from Thursday morning. Now, when Sallisaw was on offense, they were leaning heavily on the running game and Adams wasn't airing it out near as much as Posey and Pocola. But when Adams would let it fly, he was throwing the ball with accuracy and some zip. As he moves into the role of a full time QB1, after splitting time with Harris, he's definitely going to be a name to watch in Class 4A this season. Sallisaw has all the tools to be a run-first and run-dominant team. But Adams is going to have to make some plays with his arm throughout the season and if Thursday was any indication, he's going to be ready to answer that call whenever it happens.
