Most high school freshmen are not Varsity contributors. In fact, most don't take their first big step up until their sophomore season.

Not all of these QBs will start on Varsity this season, but I fully expect all of them to take a major step up in play. Whether it be on Varsity or JV, here are five class of 2028 QBs who I expect to show significant improvement during the 2025 season.

I haven't been shy about it; Odin had a very up-and-down 2024. Though, he still had excellent stats for a freshman Varsity QB.

I won't be commenting on his tape, but what he's done since the season ended. For one, Odin is 6'3", has a 6'5" wingspan, and 10-inch hands (X). In addition, Odin is set to camp at both Michigan State and Northwestern next month.

Most importantly, Odin will have a full season and offseason under his belt. Going straight from middle school to being QB1 on Varsity is daunting for anyone. A full year of high school, football, basketball, and all-around maturity & confidence-building should serve Odin well.
Odin should have a much-improved 2025 season!

Dom is one of those dudes who's always competing. Countless camps, 7on7s, and other competition under his belt as an incoming sophomore.

Earlier this year, Dom received some praise at our Prep Redzone National 18u 7on7. For his age and size, Dom does an awesome job of pushing the ball downfield. Plus, he's accurate. As our Ohio scout, Jared Luginbill said, Dom's ability to push the ball downfield will only improve with age. Plus, it seems that Dom has a good understanding of coverages.

Dom won't start on Varsity this season, but it sure seems that he's on his way. Love the consistent work ethic. Should be ranked come next update.

Man, oh man! Nehemiah's freshman-year tape is impressive. His first highlight showcases his cannon of an arm, tossing it over 40 yards downfield. Second, a shorter pass, but similarly great velocity. Finally, at 1:13, Nehemiah has an incredible throw on the run.

Nehemiah's athleticism is also quite good for an incoming sophomore. Not a ton of high-level scrambling highlights, but the upside is absolutely there.
In terms of improvements, Nehemiah should consider being a bit more patient in the pocket.

Stone is a very intriguing OAA Blue prospect.

He's looking like one of the better passers in the Blue. The first highlight shows off an awesome under-pressure throw toward the middle of the field. Second, a great throw on the run, again with great velocity. Finally, 1:11 demonstrates some patience.

Considering North Farmington's skill position talent, I wonder if Stone will earn Varsity time this season. I feel that if he's improved this offseason, he could help balance out the offense.

A quick shoutout for Gavin. From what I know if him, he's a very competitive and determined football player.

His freshman tape proves that he's got a good arm. Gavin is also a solid playmaker on the run. Of course, like any Freshman QB, there were some things to improve upon. Confident he'll continue developing, and depending on Dexter's QB situation, he could earn Varsity time this year.

Most high school freshmen are not Varsity contributors. In fact, most don't take their first big step up until their sophomore season.
