’26 Rankings Update: Film Evals for New Additions, Part V

<p>To the best of my knowledge, I know two things to be true when it comes to player rankings. First, Prep Redzone is the industry leader in state-by-state depth when it comes to rankings. Second, Prep Redzone New Jersey – <em>specifically</em> – is the unabashed leader in sharing our evaluation ranking notes.</p>   <p>In this series you will find our unedited, raw ranking notes for nearly 300 new additions to the class of 2026's final rankings. gets really good loft on the ball when completing his passes vertically; plants off of his front foot very well; do not see many opportunities for in/out breaking routes to see how he leads receivers - seen many fades, comebacks, verts, back shouler throws; follows plays down hill; gets his head on a swivel when he takes his drop, looks to pick off crossers; makes solid contact, must keep feet to deliver ball carrier to the ground; not sure if he is keying the correct reads at times; a very very good leverage tackler; will fly up to set the edge; manages to evade blockers with quickness nad sudden moves, not hands or power; reads through his responsibility and progressions very nicely to be in position to make plays on the ball; does not fully commit to diagnose steps, sort of slow plays it rather than getting to his spot and trusting what he sees; have not seen him race to boundary vs a tailback yet, want to see more demonstration of speed</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1642043' first='Elijah' last='Satchell'] 6'3" 225 DL Camden</td><td>Edge player, just train eyes to squeeze and get inside of pullers, currently takes them on with his chest; must work to keep contain of quarterback more; has some closing speed; takes good pursuit angles after having to redirect; can really work people back, particularly when fighting reach; want to see him finish and disengage blocks with rips more often; has shown some patience when he waits for holes to open, but has not overtly shown that; uses as.a pass catcher out of the backfield; too much velocity to tackle up high; will lean forward, his version of getting low, when danger nears to fall forward; edge player, has closing speed and can generate force when he hits; must keep contain off the edge when he is in space more consistently; takes on traps with his body, rather than ripping inside and spilling; has enough speed to chase quarterbacks to the sideline; flashes play with his hands above his eyes; capable of extending arms at times, want to see a shed move; want to see him profile tackle more squarely; some speed; hard time when defenders get a hold of him; have not seen him stop and change direction too sharply just yet; hips open up well when on defense, like his backpedal and stays in it for a while;
