Wednesday Wrap-Up: Latest Updates on Our 2026 Class

Welcome back to our Wednesday Wrap-Up!   This week, we are looking at some of the recent updates in our 2026 class- we haven't covered these guys in a while, and man have they been busy!   As always, check out their film below- these guys put together great tape from their junior seasons!    Jalan Terry is a dynamic ATH out of Coosa Christian who opened up their rushing attack a ton last season at RB.   Terry is an explosive playmaker for Coosa Christian on the ground- he plays with a ton of speed and twitch, has great vision and contact balance, and does a terrific job making the most out of every carry. Terry is patient behind the line of scrimmage, waits for rushing lanes to develop, and can rev up and take off upfield for huge gains once he's hit the open field.   Terry is also productive on passing downs- he has good hands, can find extra yards after the catch, and is a consistently reliable target for his quarterback.   Last fall Terry put together one of his best seasons yet- ending his junior year with 57 carries for 754 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground, and 5 receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the air. [player_tooltip player_id='1137631' first='Garrett' last='Witherington'] is a dominant DL prospect out of Briarwood Christian who has taken off in the recruiting world this offseason.   Witherington is an every-down playmaker for Briarwood Christian's defense who can both defend the run and rush the quarterback really well.   Against the run, Witherington quickly and easily flies through blockers to attack the ball- he's dominant in pursuit, has great tackling skills, and can come up with a ton of stops behind the line of scrimmage.   Witherington is just productive as a pass rusher- at 6'5 250 he has the size, speed, and power to completely dominate the trenches and get to the quarterback almost every passing down. He has a high motor and a ton of different moves he uses to consistently keep OTs on their heels, generating pressure and collapsing the pocket at a high rate.   Since our last update, Witherington has picked up offers from Notre Dame, Eastern Carolina, Mississippi State, and more!      [player_tooltip player_id='401142' first='Trey' last='Moody'] is a dominant DB out of Parker who put together a really impressive junior season last fall.   At 6'2 175, Moody has the size and athleticism to present a ton of problems for offenses out in coverage- he's tall, plays with a ton of speed, and has the instincts and ball skills to break and make huge plays on passes downfield.   I'm just as impressed with Moody's ability to attack the run- he's quick to locate the ball carrier and has the speed and pursuit skills to make some impressive hustle plays from across other side of the field.   Last fall, Moody made a ton of huge plays out in Parker's secondary- ending his junior season with 17 total tackles, one INT, and several PBUs.   Over the past few months, Moody has received offers from Charlotte, Appalachian State, Southern Miss, and more!      [player_tooltip player_id='401137' first='RJ' last='Evans'] is a talented RB out of Thompson who put up one of his best seasons yet last fall, finding ways to make huge plays out of the backfield all year long.   Evans is a versatile weapon for Thompson's offense- he's a dynamic back who plays with a ton of speed, twitch, and toughness that can hurt defenses on the ground and through the air. Evans has great vision he uses to quickly find rushing lanes behind the line of scrimmage and has the speed and acceleration to take off into the open field for huge gains. He's elusive with the ball in his hands and can change his direction to weave around defenders.   On top of that, Evans is really productive on passing downs- he has great hands, can run routes out of the backfield, and can find extra yards after the catch.   Evans was a huge piece of Thompson's offense last fall- ending his junior year with 128 carries for 727 yards and 7 TDs on the ground, and 24 receptions for 281 yards and one TD through the air.   Evans picked up an offer from North Alabama earlier this offseason and should have more heading his way soon.      [player_tooltip player_id='882896' first='Ethan' last='Ridley'] is a talented DB out of Hewitt Trussville who has been dominant for their secondary the last few years.   Ridley lines up at CB and is a constant threat for quarterbacks out in coverage- he's terrific in zone, can cover multiple levels of the field, and has the ball skills and hands to haul in interceptions and break up passes downfield.   Ridley is also a physical run defender who plays with a ton of speed and effort to make hustle plays down near the line of scrimmage. It's really impressive watching how well he fights off blocks and pursues after the ball carrier, he's a talented tackler who gets low and wraps up the ball carrier for little to no gain after making first contact.   Ridley lists an offer from UAB and has some great tape from last season you can check out below, be sure to watch out for him this fall- he has a big senior season ahead.      Delvecchio "Deuce" Alston has been one of my favorite 2026 RBs to cover since early on in his freshman season, he's been an impact playmaker for Hewitt Trussville since then and has a huge senior year ahead this fall.   At 6'0 180, Alston is explosive out of the backfield- he does a great job waiting for blocks to develop and has the acceleration and elusiveness to quickly turn upfield, make defenders miss, and rack up big plays on the ground. Alston is highly elusive, but also has great contact balance- he can play through defenders and constantly finds ways to shed off away tacklers.   Alston is just as productive on passing downs- he's a consistent option for his quarterback underneath who quickly finds ways to get open and has a reliable set of hands.   Alston made a ton of plays last fall, ending his junior season with 97 carries for 670 yards and 8 TDs on the ground and 13 receptions for 127 yards through the air.   Alston has seen his recruitment take off over the past few months, picking up offers from Memphis, James Madison, Minnesota, and more recently.      [player_tooltip player_id='1355849' first='Hayes' last='Formby'] is a talented 2026 OL prospect out of Northridge coming off one of his best seasons yet last fall.   At 6'4 260, Formby has great size, power, and quickness he uses to dominate the trenches every down. As a run blocker, Formby opens up wide rushing lanes at the line of scrimmage and does a great job using his agility to climb from level to level and make key blocks for his teammates in the open field.   In addition to his skill in the run game, Formby is just as good in pass protection- he's quick on his feet, can counter rush moves, and has the leverage, size, and strength to consistently maintain a clean pocket for his quarterback.   Formby picked up an offer from Arkansas State last summer and has a huge season ahead of him this fall- be sure to watch his tape below.
