Tennessee Future Stars: Nashville's Top Standouts

Middle School Football was alive and well at Battle Ground Academy on Sunday afternoon as the Tennessee Future Stars held their 16th annual tryouts in the Nashville area. After stopping by Franklin to catch all the action, it's time to break down some of my favorite prospects to showcase their talent on the field. Following my breakdown of some intriguing prospects from the tryout, here's my list of Nashville's top standouts to make their presence known this past weekend.    In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1305173' first='Trenton' last='Gibbs'], an offensive lineman/defensive lineman at Oakland Middle School. Gibbs caught my attention during positional drills, utilizing his size and strength to stun his opponent at the line of scrimmage. I also liked how Gibbs performed in warm-up drills, showcasing excellent athleticism, footwork and overall execution from start to finish.     I was additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1051781' first='Caleb' last='Johnson'], an athlete/quarterback at Oakland Middle School. Johnson caught my attention during positional drills, proving his ability to execute with efficiency at the helm of the offense. On top of great arm strength and accuracy, what made Johnson so explosive under center was his ability to quickly scan the field and be consistent with his passes.     Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1307203' first='Shemar' last='Soles'], an offensive lineman at Oakland Middle School. Soles caught my attention with his outstanding size and strength at the line of scrimmage. I also liked how Soles could quickly adapt to his opponent off the snap and utilize his arms to wrap up his foe with ease.     Another high-level prospect to watch for is [player_tooltip player_id='1684001' first='Tolly' last='Boczulak'], an athlete/outside linebacker at Brentwood Middle School. Boczulak caught my attention early on as he proved himself during warm-up drills with his athleticism and strong footwork. Boczulak's ability to read the pass and use his wingspan came in handy during positional drills, showing off his ability to quickly get in position for the long pass.     Coming in at number five on my list of top performers is [player_tooltip player_id='1721153' first='Bruno' last='Prater'], a linebacker at Friendship Christian School. Prater stood out with his size, speed and ability to consistently execute during warm-up drills. I also liked how Prater could utilize his footwork and electric speed off the snap during positional drills, proving himself as a formidable foe on the defensive sides of the ball.     Also worth mentioning is Jaxon Hopkins, an athlete at Ensworth Middle School. Hopkins stood out with his breakaway speed and ability to efficiently run a route. I also liked how Hopkins could utilize his footwork to perform jukes and quickly get into the backfield for the long pass. Hopkins also impressed me with his ability to elevate off the ground to haul in the deep ball.
