Tennessee 2030s To Watch For

After catching the 16th annual [highschool_tooltip highschool_id='1496032' name='Tennessee'] Future Stars tryout at [highschool_tooltip highschool_id='1478918' name='Battle Ground Academy'] in [highschool_tooltip highschool_id='1495666' name='Franklin'] this past weekend, it's time to continue to analyze some of the most explosive middle school players to showcase their talent. Following my breakdown of some of the top performers, we continue to evaluate some of Nashville's finest rising stars at the 7th grade level. Without any further ado, here's my list of Tennessee 2030s to know about.    In the first place spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1051781' first='Caleb' last='Johnson'], an athlete/quarterback at Oakland Middle School. What impresses me about Johnson's playstyle is his ability to remain composed under pressure, utilize strong footwork in the pocket and quickly scan the backfield for an open target. Johnson also stands out with his arm strength and accuracy, showing off his ability to connect with his receivers in stride.     I am additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1307094' first='Trent' last='Perkins'], a wide receiver at Smyrna Middle School. On top of outstanding size and speed off the snap, Perkins stands out with his ability to be physical down the stretch, proving he can outmaneuver the defense and elevate off the ground to haul in the challenging deep pass. I also like how Perkins can juke out the opposition and get open for the short pass.     Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1307154' first='Shook' last='Decker'], an offensive lineman at Brentwood Academy. What makes Decker such a weapon at the line of scrimmage is his excellent size, speed off the snap and his ability to blast the defensive line with ease. I also like how Decker can quickly adapt to his opponent and utilize his wingspan to lock down the opposition in crucial moments.     Another skilled prospect in the Nashville area to keep an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='1307203' first='Shemar' last='Soles'], an offensive lineman/defensive lineman at Oakland Middle School. Soles catches my attention with his solid size, strength and ability to consistently box out the opposition at the line of scrimmage. Soles also impresses me with his ability to read the other side of the line and cause chaos in the pocket.     Coming in at number five on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='1589021' first='Kevin' last='Caldwell Jr'], a running back that makes a huge difference on the ground. What instantly stands out about Caldwell's playstyle is his great size, speed and execution off the snap. I also like Caldwell's footwork, showing off his ability to juke out the defense on the run. Another facet of Caldwell's playstyle that impresses is his strength and durability with the rock in his hands.     Also worth mentioning is [player_tooltip player_id='1654341' first='Jaxon' last='Hopkins'], an athlete at Ensworth Middle School. In addition to excellent size and versatility, what impresses me the most about Hopkins is his explosiveness down the stretch, proving his ability to consistently execute solid routes and haul in the deep pass. I also like how Hopkins can utilize his breakaway speed to get open for the short pass and elevate off the ground to beat defenders to the ball.
