We unload our second to part of our standout notebook from last Sunday's Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine in Plymouth with over 1300 words of some of the best live reps we saw, prospects that flashed their upside, great athleticism in every corner of our combine, and much more that we unpack in Part VII

[player_tooltip player_id='1648469' first='Dawson' last='VonRuden'], WR, Detroit Lakes 2026 Twitter

Dawson was certainly in my top-tier for wide receivers overall at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine in Plymouth on Sunday. This young man is why I love live reps, as during 1v1s I felt Dawson was one of the most poised wide receivers in the building due to his football IQ. He showed to be unphased by defensive backs that tried to work him early in press-man coverage as he used his athleticism from the top the route to get multiple wins during 1v1s which Dawson was able to toast his competition with his instincts he has with his separation ability. Dawson showed in my eyes, a wide receiver that is a certified gamer when it's crunch time. He also excelled in high traffic areas in the other reps I watched showing off excellent hands rep after rep. He also has a pretty sound football bloodline to say the least, as he is cousins with former Minnesota State-Mankato and NFL WR Adam Thielen. I also was mightly impressed with Dawson's character, as he would be an asset to any locker room at the next-level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255913' first='Calen' last='Truckenbrod'], WR, Spring Lake Park 2026 Twitter

Another wide receiver that was in my top-tier for my own best of the bests in the group, came from Spring Lake Park's Calen Truckebrod. If you want verified 6'4 210 pound wide receivers in your locker room, you will want to hear about Calen for sure. What intrigues me about Calen, starts with the upside he has grown as he has certainly gotten more polished as a route-runner since our last live eval at our Minnesota Combine. He has learned how to utilze that sound frame to his full advantage, as in the reps I watched on Sunday I saw a chunk of defensive backs struggle in 1v1s against Calen not just because of the size alone either, but this young man has learned how to use his physicality on those 50/50 balls. The change of direction has also grown since last live eval, as Calen ran a whopping 7.19 at that size mentioned in the L-Drill. Calen surely is a scholarship level talent that is going to pay off some dividends at college camps this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1656429' first='Lucas' last='Bakker'], WR, Maple Grove 2027 Twitter

Lucas may have had the best catch at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine in my eyes. The 6'0 210 pounder from Maple Grove showed off excellent balance along the backedges of the end zone in the one particular rep that I had a front row seat for. He showed off the hands and great ball security taking his rep into the baseball net In which the entire rep, Lucas dominated with his size and athleticsm he has brewing in the 2027 class with his upside, in what was a total 50/50 balls that Lucas got the win on. He also ran a 7.35 in the L-drill at 6'0 210 pounds too. Did I ever mention that the 2024 State Champs are a constant hotbed? Looks like to me that Lucas is next in that line in their group of underclassmen to know out from the Crimson.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633438' first='Graden' last='Thomas'], WR, Triton 2027 Twitter

Graden was in my first tier for 2027 wider receivers at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine on Sunday in Plymouth. The 6'0 185 pounder from Triton, wasted no time showing off the athletic ability that is there during testing going 4.78 in the 40 yard dash, and the most eye-catching number in the L-drill in which he went 7.13. He also caught my attention during 1v1s, as another WR in this grouping that I really liked how physical he fought for the football in high traffic areas to win his rep. Graden is a dominate athlete on both sides of the ball for Trition as in my eyes, his instincts on both sides are only going to grow even more into his junior season. Surely looks like a next-level target to me.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581367' first='Jamison' last='Mackey'], QB, Wayzata 2029 Twitter

The only 2029 athlete that caught my attention on Sunday at our Minnesota combine, was Jameson Mackey out of Wayzata. I was quite impressed by how poised this young man was constantly while watching his pocket movement and showed off a QB that for his age, played with a chip on his shoulder that you don't typically see from underclassmen gunslingers at our combines. Jamison also had a couple reps that showed off his growing ball-placement which on those same reps I was intrigued with the amount of balance that Jamison had on his throws on intermediate routes especially understanding the proper arm strength for the given throw needed. With I am sure a growth spurt en-route, I will be intrigued to see how Jamison progresses over the next several years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1658007' first='Patrick' last='Mix'], WR, Minneapolis Camden 2026 Twitter

Our PRZ scouts has been very impressed with handful of targets from Minneapolis Camden for the last month or so, which in my eyes 2026 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1658007' first='Patrick' last='Mix'] continues to makea steady splash at camps. He won plenty of reps last Sunday, with how sound his hands in high traffic areas for his size, as Patrick possesses a game-speed that carries up notches from what you might see in testing at camps. Especially one that does not lack the twitch of agility as I have seen that be a factor in 1v1s at two camps now in the last month, where Patrick is able to get great off those cuts inside and outside.. He is one that continues to be a stockriser for PRZ this spring for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576660' first='Shaheed' last='Suggs'], WR, Cretin-Derham Hall 2028 Twitter

Shaheed was a new name that flashed during the live eval of our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine last Sunday in Plymouth. The wide receiver from CDH, might be undersized at the moment, but man was I impressed with how physical this young man was on every rep I got to watch during Indy and 1v1s. As a route-runner, Shaheed has some raw yet growing upside in my eyes, as he showed off his chip on his shoulder mentality with his hands by making catches in some absurd high traffic areas which was intriguing for his age. I'll be interested to see over the coming years when this man hits a growth spurt, cause I surely think the growing potential is their for the taking for this sophomore to be for the Raiders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1419908' first='Ali' last='Farfan'], QB, St. Paul Johnson 2026 Twitter

Saving the best for last, which was our QB MVP from last Sunday which went to St. Paul Johnson 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1419908' first='Ali' last='Farfan']. I didn't spend nearly as much time with our quarterback groups as I would have liked, but man, I saw the last 1v1 rep that I feel for a lot of us in attendance that made decisions for MVPs sealed the deal for Ali, as he threw a beautiful deep ball with excellent timing, arm strength, showed how easy he could make it fitting it in a very tight window on the outside of the field as the drop of his ball put it right into the bread-basket of his wide receiver. In the other reps I was able to watch, Ali impressed me with the finish he showed off with his mechanics and watching back his tape from last fall, I can gauge the growth this young man has made quickly this offseason. The 6'1 175 pounder, also showed more impressive touch since last fall especially while moving out of the pocket. Ali surely looks like a quarterback that has a sound shot of playing on Saturdays and don't be surprised if he catches some attention this summer at college camps.

We unload our second to part of our standout notebook from last Sunday's Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine in Plymouth with over 1300 words of some of the best live reps we saw, prospects that flashed their upside, great athleticism in every corner of our combine, and much more that we unpack in Part VII
