Burlington is currently on a run of Sulik's at the helm. After the elder Sulik headed off for North Dakota, Grant was able to take over the helm. In his first season he did get Burlington into the playoffs. I believe there is plenty more in the tank for Grant to tap into and utilize on the field. The junior QB has a big arm to match the prototypical frame. His tape shows that he can fire passes with no air under them into spots, especially short-intermediate. Even when he goes downfield he can step into it and drive the ball into spots. Grant has quick feet that can quickly set and get the ball out. The tools are all there for him to handle more attempts this coming fall. Don't be surprised to see that breakout even start over the summer at camps for the Class of 2026 QB.

Brayden is an interesting recruit in the Class of 2026. He has been utilized all over the offense as a QB and receiving option. Plus he has spent a couple years playing defense too. In 2024 we saw Loritz used in 7 games at QB, but he wasn't the primary starter there. With the graduation of the starting QB it opens the door for Brayden to potentially be the starter in his senior season. Last year he was already able to carve out a 500 yard rushing role in the backfield. If he can handle the full 140+ pass attempts we could see a dual threat athlete shine on Friday nights. This is a kid that whether he wins the job or not we could see a big year from wherever he is utilized, so have him on your radars.

Some of these situations and breakouts are easier to see than others. The easiest of the bunch is 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1083381' first='Nolan' last='Hanson'] being in line for a big debut on the varsity team. He is poised to be QB1 for this coming season and beyond and the talent around him with supply him with ample chances to take over games. Nolan's own exceptional talent will be a huge advantage as well. The sophomore QB has built a frame of a premier QB talent, and the offseason work will have him ready to show off his high level talent very early in the season. Nolan brings with him a live arm. One that can deliver passes that carry velocity to the target. An arm that can get the ball out with the snap of his wrist. Most importantly, an arm that has dialed in pinpoint ball placement. I'm jacked up to see him under the lights this season.

Austin was already able to carve out a key role on the Oconomowoc varsity offense as a sophomore. During the 2024 season we saw him split time with a senior, and Platteville commit at the position. So this fall things look set up for him to have sole responsibility of the offense. That is going to give him the opportunity to blow those numbers out of the water in his junior year. As a sophomore, Austin impressed with his aggressive downfield passing and the touch he used to drop the deep ball in a bucket to his receiver. The 2027 showed great decisiveness, mechanics, and accuracy throughout his 2024 film below. Take a look at it, and make sure to have your eyes on this kid in the summer, and especially in the fall.

The Franklin offense has been arguably the most consistent, and effective in the state over the last 5+ years. A major reason behind that is their ability to develop collegiate level QBs. The next potential recruit is 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1620330' first='Keegan' last='Best']. Best is already putting in the work to ready for the job. At 6'3" 185 lbs the 2027 is well on his way towards looking the part. Tap into one of his highlights and you will see the glimpses of what is ahead of him. Keegan is a quickly developing recruit. On tape he shows that he can attack all three levels of the field with effective arm strength. We see that he can get the ball out while off platform. Best also shines with his spot on accuracy as he hits his weapons in stride so they can create a play after the catch without missing a beat. I have a strong feeling about this potential breakout.

One of the top programs in the state is looking for their next QB1, and the athlete that looks like he is next up is [player_tooltip player_id='1287562' first='Dalton' last='Steinke']. The 6'1" 175 lbs freshman has been dedicated towards developing his game this offseason so that he is ready for Friday nights. His freshman highlights show a kid that thrives by being technically sound and accurate. He stretches the field with touch and as he gets older and stronger we are going to continue to see the arm strength increase. In fact we could see the biggest jump in his game in that area come this fall. Dalton is in position to win the job and he has been putting in the work to earn it. Don't sleep on the 2028.

Another 2028 that is in line for a breakout season this fall is MAS QB [player_tooltip player_id='1192952' first='Jayson' last='Jefferson']. The job is wide open for him to win and step into. A job that comes with a lot of pass attempts recently, like the 250+ in 2024. Looking through his 7v7 highlights, Jayson is looking like a kid ready for Friday nights. He is decisive, accurate, and has impressive touch all over the field. The '28 plays with very consistent mechanics too that not doubt help with his accuracy as well as help him always be ready and able to get the ball out quickly.
