We started this collection of top 5s off with QBs in eastern PA, let's head over to the route runners, redzone threats, shifty slots, and YAC demons. Got a list here of my top 5 2027 WRs in a relative order!

[player_tooltip player_id='671906' first='Cade' last='Cooper'] is as close you'll get to a college ready WR in any year of high school but he's just a sophomore. The 6'3” 190 pound WR is as technically sound as you'll get. His routes are precise and he catches defenders slipping on his quick stop routes. He has a press release package that he uses featuring a little shimmy and shoulder dip that's veteran like. You'll notice he's always catching with his hands, rarely his body. On the blocking end it's rare to find an WR juiced up to drive a DB into the dirt, well Cooper gets fired up every time which is nice to see. Another positive for Cooper is he's offering you special teams looks, he has some return ability but also some coverage ability. Cooper already holds power 5 offers, some like Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Maryland according to On3 sports. Cooper had a big year as a sophomore and will only continue to build that momentum into next season.

I'll jump into [player_tooltip player_id='521111' first='Jontai' last='Quick'] and his evaluation by starting with the very first clip you see on his sophomore highlight tape. He's out of the slot, runs a stop and go, not only is he already fast and shifty but the routes and precision with his feet and his hips are smooth, when he breaks down to deliver the first part of his route he then proceeds to spin faster than you can blink and blow past the corner and safety. This is a common occurrence all over his tape. Quick lives up to his last name, his releases and routes are the fastest and cleanest i've seen in this group but also maybe even in the country for his class. Quick tallied just under 1300 yards in his sophomore campaign (1297) but i'm sure he looks to only get better in the box score and on film in his junior year, in which I will be waiting for him to receive his first offer.

Zayden Smiths size jumps out on paper, but it really jumps out on his tape. 6'4” WR who almost never loses a 50/50 ball yeah sign me up, a 6'4” WR who has a little shake in his hips in his routes, it will definitely play at the next level. This size is something college coaches and recruiters drool over for a WR. While this is a WR article I do want to highlight the whole package with Smith, he plays SS for Cumberland Valley, almost in a Nickel role. That's awesome right, well he also has some reps where he's being used like an OLB, all while offering that DB versatility, talking to others about Smith I found myself giving him high praise in my eyes seeing similarities to current Gamecocks WR Nyck Harbor, the size, movement, and endless positional range is almost looking in a mirror. Smith has yet to tally his first offer but I expect that to happen really soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='913942' first='Kareem' last='Haqq'] is your prototypical Z at the next level, the movement skills rock, the hands are good, the routes are awesome and I could keep going. He has that alignment versatility to be playing in the slot but also playing off the ball offering shift and motion alignment. He wins fast on his quick cutting routes, he almost glides when running vertical, and he's not afraid to get hit, which for a smaller guy I must say is very impressive. He just looks so comfortable when running his routes and making catches. Haqq holds 4 offers so far (Delaware State, Kent State, Pitt, and Penn State) and I expect him to keep earning more in these next two years.

I'm going to sound like a broken record as i've already written a little piece on [player_tooltip player_id='913609' first='Brendon' last='Goode-Kimble']. However, I found myself liking the tape even more after a second watch, and enough to push him into my personal top 5 WRs. I won't harp on Kimble too much as you can see my previous article but, the size is awesome he has the prototype Z size. He's smart always finding holes in zones and recognizing when his QB is under duress. He's a pure 50/50 ball winner there's times where his body shouldn't be able to adjust the way it does to come down with contested catches but he always does. Kimble is underrated in the recruiting landscape but I don't expect that to hold true for too long as he is looking to explode the state sheet in his junior year.
