We have an excellent 2026 Tight End class. A couple of huge names, and a couple more potentially underrated pieces. Here's a word on the five best TEs in Michigan's Class of 2026.

If we were playing CFB 25, Lincoln would be listed as a "vertical threat." This is a prospect who has elite size, elite arm length, and elite athletic traits. Plus, he's a pretty dang good route runner and an awesome redzone threat.

How he's eventually utilized at Georgia is going to be interesting. He could develop into a Brock Bowers type- someone who is pretty well-rounded but especially great at being a vertical threat. Or, Lincoln could be a bit more one-dimensional, being more like Jimmy Graham. No matter the case, Georgia will give Lincoln all the tools needed to develop into a superstar TE and a future NFL prospect. I am extremely excited to see how Lincoln ends up developing throughout college.

Janda is one of the best uncommitted Class of 2026 TEs in the country. Jack should be in store for an incredible senior season, but probably not without committing first. As of right now, Jack has 23 D1 offers, including B1G 10 schools such as Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, and Oregon.

As for Jack's stillset, I'd call him a "possession" Tight End. That said, I think Jack is good at just about everything but not elite as a blocker or receiver. His blocking is solid, and it's bolstered even more because of the fact that he also plays DE. You don't need to worry about Jack's physicality. Jack is also a good receiver, but I don't see the elite athletic metrics needed to be a all-star receiver at the collegiate level. The college he ends up attending will be getitng a very well-roundedl, high-floor TE!

Ryan is a bit of a wildcard, as he isn't quite at the top of this TE class, but he's still a Division 1 prospect. Heck, there's a chance he's a lot better than what he's being recruited as.

Like a lot of TEs on this list, Ryan is a two-way player. Defensively, Ryan is utilized as an on and off-ball outside linebacker. On defense, Ryan has a few great highlights and hard hits- Ryan is very physical, which is something I look for in all players regardless of position.

Offensively, Ryan doesn't have a ton of tape. However, he has a few promising plays on his youtube channel. There, I like Ryan's ability to box out DBs and catch 50/50 balls. I like that he can make those catches, but he still needs to work on toe-tapping near the sidelines. Time will tell just how good of a receiver Ryan is, but if I had to guess, I'd say Ryan is more of a possession guy like Jack.

Zack has received a ton of love as of late, having just received an offer from Eastern Michigan.

Like Ryan and Jack, I love how well-rounded Zack is. He's a good blocker, a good receiver, and a decent athlete. Though, he isn't elite in any specific category. Considering the level of competition in the Catholic League, Zack is as prepared as any to play Division 1 football. We'll see how he develops, and we'll see if he can take another step forward for his senior season.

Jacob has some great highlights, but zero D1 offers right now. Considering D1s have mostly moved on to the class of 2027, I don't think it's likely that Jacob earns D1 offers.

Though, there's nothing wrong with being a GLAIC prospect- which is exactly where I think Jacob will end up.

Jacob's tape begins with a couple of excellent receiving highlights. The first highlight showcases a great double move and quick reaction on the fade, while the second highlight shows excellent contact balance on another redzone play. Lastly, Jacob is physical. He's a two-way player, and did a good job at outside linebacker this past season. I don't know how good of a blocker Jacob is, but the fact that he's a two-way player should help his stock.
