The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit came through Oklahoma for the first weekend in March and it was the largest 7v7 tournament in the three years that Prep Redzone has been doing 7v7 tournaments. We've had a ton of content dropping all week, taking a look at the best players that stood out throughout the tournament. In this breakdown, we're putting that spotlight on the 18U division and the Southwest 7 program. This Missouri-based program brought a ton of teams down to Oklahoma and their 18U teams performed well. We got a chance to watch two of their teams for several games on Saturday and five players really stood out to us. Here's a look at those five and what they did to grab our attention in Broken Arrow.

Bryin Sandgren - 2027 Wide Receiver

2027 wide receiver Bryin Sandgren was one of our favorite players to watch play on Saturday during pool play. Early on in the afternoon, we got a chance to watch Southwest 7's white squad and Sandgren immediately stood out to us. And look, this tournament was full of fantastic athletes that will end up at the D1 level. Will Sandgren get there? Maybe one day but we know he was one of the hardest workers on the field, every time we watched him. Sandgren did whatever he had to do to create separation and get open and he was able to do that at a very high level. We were very impressed with his game and his overall energy level. He brought it at the same level on every single play.

[player_tooltip player_id='741163' first='Cash' last='Newberry'] - 2026 Quarterback

Southwest 7's black squad got the day started early on Saturday and 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='741163' first='Cash' last='Newberry'] immediately caught our attention with his accuracy and his ability to remain accurate, despite pushing the boundaries with throws down the field. Newberry was one of the first quarterbacks in the 18U division that caught our attention and he wouldn't be the last one from Southwest 7. They had a handful of guys that can really spin it. With Newberry in particular, he's already on the radar across the state of Missouri and right now he's a borderline top ten guy at his position. Based on his play this weekend in Oklahoma, it wouldn't be surprising to find out his stock is pointed up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1324009' first='Keiran' last='Govan'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

Southwest 7 brought a really good group down to Oklahoma this weekend. Plenty of teams in the various divisions so they were not lacking talent. But 2027 wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1324009' first='Keiran' last='Govan'] might be the player that impressed us the most throughout the two days in Broken Arrow. Govan is already on the radar of our PRZ-Missouri writers and we can see why after just watching him run around for a few minutes. First of all, Govan passes the eye test immediately and was one of the top overall playmakers that we watched throughout the weekend. Govan has size, athletic ability and reliable hands. Those three traits were on full display throughout the two days in Oklahoma. He's another prospect who's stock is pointed up.

Scholar Brown - 2026 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

2026 wide receiver and defensive back Scholar Brown was on the team with Newberry and he stood out to us in a major way. On both sides of the ball, Brown was an absolute problem for every opponent they went against. Offensively, Brown was making some pretty spectacular catches and his ability to make those catches in traffic definitely grabbed our attention. But then Brown would turn around and play lockdown defense and seemed to always be in the right place at the right time. It felt like he was their best player from start to finish during the games we were watching. Brown should definitely be on more radars when it comes to the state's 2026 class moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1167839' first='Tristin' last='Coon'] - 2027 Quarterback

2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1167839' first='Tristin' last='Coon'] was not a new name to us but he stood out once again this weekend in Oklahoma. It was a little over a year ago that Coon shined at our Oklahoma camp. He was one of the best quarterbacks in attendance as a freshman, so it's no surprise that a little over a year later, he was one of the top quarterbacks in the 18U division. Coon has an absolute rocket launcher attached to his shoulder. While we were watching Coon go to work on Saturday, we watched the ball just jump out of his hand and look effortless at times. Coon made it look easy and he's definitely standing out already this year on the 7v7 circuit. He's having a strong start to the spring.
