Operates with strong mechanics that should give him great developmental upside as he continues to grow and improve in the coming seasons. Also worked out with the RBs at January's PRZ CA Showcase, where he showed promising athleticism and receiving skills in 1v1s. Played off the edge as an OLB last season showing his lateral range, high motor, and ability to contain the edge. He's an active tackler that's quick and efficient to the ball and can finesse his way around less-athletic OTs. Totaled 18 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 2 TFLs in 2024. High-upside athleticism for his size, position, and age and flashed some promising power and technique as a block shedder. Plays with great quickness for the interior and makes high-effort plays in the backfield with his churning motor. He's a raw, up-and-coming ILB that possesses the frame and and physical tools to develop into one of the top LB prospects in San Diego's 2028 class over the coming seasons. Plays with active feet when reading/diagnosing and should continue to speed up his processing time as he gains reps and experience. Made some disruptive plays as an interior blitzer and has the makings of a future productive run stopper. Accurate passer that completed 61% of his passes in the fall and showed impressive touch and air under the deep ball. Great athleticism for the position allows him to roll outside the pocket finding receivers on the run and flashed his playmaking ability as a runner (3 rush TDs as a freshman). Quick, agile athlete at 5'8"/180 that likes to attack the lane and get downhill in a hurry. Wastes little-to-no movement in his lateral cuts and does a good job of staying patient while setting up his blocks. Shows good leg drive and balance through contact.
