About DeAndre
Expert Analysis
Zack Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Wilson put his name on the 2028 radar with the strong flashes he showed at DT as a freshman for Helix last season. Totaled 18 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 2 TFLs in 2024. High-upside athleticism for his size, position, and age and flashed some promising power and technique as a block shedder. Plays with great quickness for the interior and makes high-effort plays in the backfield with his churning motor. Wilson- now at Lincoln- will be a player to keep an on eye as he makes the move to one of the top defensive units in the county.

– Passed the eye test right away in terms of thickness and looking like a player to keep an eye on throughout the game/week
– Originally thought I’d see him line up on the interior defensive line because of his shorter, stockier build–but shined more as a defensive end
– NFL HOF’er Warren Sapp was the first name that came to mind while watching him play, despite him not being a defensive tackle
– I was surprised to see just how athletic he was as a stand up defensive end. Was able to shoot gaps quickly and defeat zone blocking schemes
