Saint James Academy Standouts Part 2

Barnes had a great afternoon and showed why many Division 1 coaches have been keeping their tabs on him. As I said last fall he is a Power 4 defensive back but his ability on offense is not to be slept on either. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/TheAntwanBarnes/status/1899204726761328784 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1199700' first='Mason' last='Clifford'] established himself nicely amongst the lineman on hand Sunday afternoon. Playing for Patriot last year, Clifford seems to be coming into his own as he enters his junior season. Look at his form during the 1vs1s below, you can see this dude has been coached up. Very impressed with his work, he also can long snap too that can go a long way.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/MasonClifford17/status/1899475076161941870 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Not surprised a number of coaches on hand was anxious to see one of the top ranked linebackers/running backs in [player_tooltip player_id='853886' first='LJ' last='Richards']. To catch you up to speed, Richards was a first team All Cardinal District selection as a junior for Colgan and should be primed for a rankings boost with our 2026 class. Regardless of where he ends up next the young man has all the traits to play at the next level. The All Region linebacker tallied over 100 tackles last fall, in Coach Overton's defense those number can grow even higher. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">A rising junior who had Coach Overton impressed was Mount Zion Prep receiver Aidan Durham. Durham was already a top ranked prospect in the Maryland 2027 class with 90th overall ranking, he was a beast during the 1vs1 session. You can tell he has been playing this game for a long time the way he high points a football. Durham has game changing speed too, would be nice to see him in a Saint James uniform next fall. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Aidanmvplife_/status/1899207350449262952 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Upon my arrival to the tryout I got wind early that the Thompson brothers were on hand and they had people buzzing. [player_tooltip player_id='1298259' first='Connor' last='Thompson'] had a nice outing and would be a perfect get Head Coach Daryl Overton's offense. Like his brother he is a well sized fast moving target, the senior to be could really benefit in St. James offense. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1298188' first='Hayden' last='Thompson'] is a standout tight end for Westfield, earning second team All Region honors das a Junior. Hayden is a dynamic weapon with the ball in his hands, good size and wheels too.
