Virginia 2029 Rankings Review: Athletes to Remember this Fall

<p>A closer look at some of our underrated athletes out of our 2029 Class below:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ball skills is what jumps out when you watch Courtland's [player_tooltip player_id='1734313' first='Princeton' last='Watson']. He was a second team all district corner as a freshman with 62 tackles and 4 interceptions. I swear I counted more than 4 on his film but regardless the young man finds his way to the football. Watson ranked 30th overall looks like an FBS level defensive back. He has a great back pedal and has good range to float as a safety too. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/theprincetonW/status/2022394953868173623?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1787259' first='Dashawn' last='Coles'] looks prime for a bigger role with the Strivers this fall, he looked really good at the most recent 7v7 tournament. I would imagine Coach Overton will have Coles at both receiver and corner. He is very instinctive and could be Saint James top defensive back for their 2026 season. Ranking at 50th overall, I see his stock just beginning to rise before we approach Week 1. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ColesDashawn/status/2023421186135474678?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Heritage product [player_tooltip player_id='2121735' first='Brock' last='Zakrzewski'] may be the best athlete in this class, he put up some impressive numbers last year. He looks poised to be a major contributor for the Pride at receiver, corner and on special teams. For their JV squad he had 18 total touchdowns with 10 of those scores coming from his work at receiver. He is dynamic with the ball in his hands and has tremendous vision for the endzone. I expect his production to only increase as his high school career progresses. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/BrockZak2029/status/1993102459162513618?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">If you followed my work you would know I am high on South County's freshmen class with good reason, case in point hybrid tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1664452' first='Chaz' last='Samuel']. He is going to be a major threat in Patriot District with his long reach and stride. Playing a lot for the Stallions last fall, Samuel is already 6'1 and 205 lbs.. You should expect to see him making his mark at defensive end too, his strength and blocker awareness is impressive too. </p>     <p>Became familiar with Winkelmann's game right before our Winter showcase and he proved his worth with his outing last month. The Wakefield Warrior wide receiver stood out in what was a very talented room with prospects in the 2026-29 classes on site. Winkelmann was able to stand out and then some, remember his name if you follow Northern Virginia football. He ran better routes and got separation right in front of our eyes last month, he is bound for a monster sophomore season. </p>
