Recruiting Report 3/31- Newest Offers Around the State

As we head further into the offseason, the recruiting world only keeps moving.   Today we are highlighting some of the newest offers and visits across the state- these prospects are killing it on the recruiting trail right now and won't be stopping anytime soon.   As always, check out their tape below- we have so much talent here in Alabama, and you won't want to miss these prospects before they're off to the next level!    [player_tooltip player_id='1604812' first='Deon' last='Callins']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/deon-callins/"></a> is a lockdown DB who made tons of plays in Clay Chakville's secondary all season long last fall.   Callins is a dominant outside corner who consistently provided great coverage and run defense all of last year. Callins is incredibly reliable out in coverage- he's patient, isn't easily beat downfield, and has great hands he uses to break up passes and haul in INTs all over the field. Callins also plays with a ton of effort and pursuit- he frequently makes sideline-to-sideline plays and will work his way across the field to come up with some hustle plays.   Callins made a ton of big plays last season- ending his junior year with 58 total tackles (50 solo, 2 for loss), one interception, 4 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.   A few days back, Callins picked up an offer from Samford- be sure to watch him this upcoming season, he's set up for a big senior season.      [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/trent-seaborn/"></a> is an extremely talented QB out of Thompson who keeps impressing us and programs at the next level   Seaborn has a terrific understanding of his offense and what to do with the ball- he scans the entire field, makes great decisions, and quickly gets the ball out, never putting it in harm's way. On top of his mental attributes, Seaborn has a heck of an arm he uses to make difficult throws all over the field- he's a top-tier passer with tons of talent and potential.   Seaborn had another great season for Thompson last fall- completing 210/328 passing attempts for 2675 yards and 26 touchdowns to only 7 interceptions, with an additional 44 carries for 256 yards and a touchdown on the ground.   Late last week, Seaborn picked up his newest offer from Michigan! It was only a matter of time before they reached out his way- he's one of the nation's top QBs with a big junior year on the horizon.      [player_tooltip player_id='1261420' first='Aiden' last='Lyles']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/aiden-lyles/"></a> is a rising DL/EDGE prospect out of Central who really impressed us a few weeks back, and has seen his recruitment start to open up since then.   Lyles is a disruptive force off the edge for Central- at 6'3 190 he has a great frame, is really explosive, and has tons of strength- all of which help him dominate the run and pass. Lyles is great at rushing the passer- he's quick off the snap and uses his speed and power to overwhelm blockers, consistently finding ways into the backfield to generate pressure and rack up sacks on quarterbacks.   Lyles is just as productive against the run- he seals off the edge, is terrific in pursuit, makes impressive hustle plays behind the line, and doesn't allow anyone to get past him and into the open field.   In the last week, Lyles has picked up his first offers from Sacramento State and Liberty- and with his talent, there will be plenty more to come over the next few years.      [player_tooltip player_id='1610214' first='Jayden' last='Aparicio Bailey']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/jayden-aparicio-bailey/"></a> is a seriously talented DB out of Oak Mountain who caught our eyes a few months back and has become a top recruit in the 2027 class.   At 6'2 180 Bailey is highly athletic, has great size, plays with impressive speed, and provides excellent coverage and run support from the safety position. In coverage, Bailey is a ball hawk DB who consistently flies around the field to pick off and break up passes- it's seriously difficult for QBs to throw against him, he's terrific at locating and tracking the ball in the air.   Bailey is just as productive against the run- he flies downhill to fill in lanes and rack up tackles down by the line of scrimmage for little gain. I'm most impressed with Bailey's skills in pursuit- he plays with a ton of effort and has great closing speed he uses to make hustle plays against the run from deep downfield.   Bailey made tons of impressive plays last fall- ending his sophomore year with 28 total tackles (16 solo) and two interceptions.   After racking up a lot of big-time offers earlier this offseason, Bailey picked up another this past week from Vanderbilt. Take a look at his tape below and you'll see why, he's a seriously talented defender with a bright future ahead.      [player_tooltip player_id='1625583' first='Kejiaun' last='Johnson']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/kejiaun-johnson/"></a> is a dominant DB out of Woodlawn who is coming off a great season last fall, making huge plays out in his team's secondary against some talented offenses.   At 6'2 175, Johnson has great size and athleticism he uses to fly around the secondary and rack up big stops. Johnson is physical and incredibly reliable over the top in coverage, he consistently shuts down WRs deep downfield and does a great job tracking the ball and coming away with impressive PBUs and interceptions.   Johnson is also great against the run- he flies downhill, fills in lanes, and wraps up and delivers huge hits to the ball carrier to stop them for little to no gain. It's seriously impressive watching how easy it is for Johnson to make plays from sideline to sideline- he's a rangy DB with a ton of speed and pursuit skills who can make plays anywhere on the field.   Johnson made huge plays for his defense all season long, finishing his junior year with 27 total tackles (17 solo, 3 for loss), multiple interceptions, and one forced fumble.   Johnson had a big week in the recruiting world this last week- locking in official visits with Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina and picking up offers from West Virginia and Mississippi State.     [player_tooltip player_id='1621006' first='Dedrick' last='Kimbrough']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/dedrick-kimbrough/"></a> is an incredibly talented 2028 WR out of Thompson who will soon be a national name everyone will know.   Kimbrough is a complete WR with an incredible skill set as an underclassman- he has great size, electric speed, and an incredibly reliable set of hands he uses to make highlight-reel catches all over the field.   Kimbrough is already a massive threat out wide- he's a smooth route runner who gains tons of separation at every level of the field and can also haul in ridiculous catches through coverage/contact. Any ball is catchable for a guy like Kimbrough, he has a terrific catch radius, great body control, and strong hands he uses to secure passes in some really impressive ways.   Kimbrough was terrific and made some huge plays last season, ending his freshman year with 22 receptions for 390 yards and 3 touchdowns.   After seeing his recruitment open up a ton earlier this offseason, Kimbrough has picked up more offers this past week from Miami and Sacramento State.     [player_tooltip player_id='1205371' first='Demarcus' last='Brown']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/demarcus-brown-2/"></a> is a dominant 2028 DL out of Williamson who is coming off a huge freshman season and has a massive future ahead.   Brown is a star in the making- he has great size and plays with terrific speed, leverage, and strength he uses to fly by and through blockers to make huge plays in the backfield. Brown is constantly disruptive- he explodes off the snap, can fight off multiple blockers, and does whatever he can to get to the ball, his pursuit and closing speed combined with his ability to dominate the trenches is incredibly impressive.   I was impressed with how instinctual Brown is- he's constantly near the ball and is a threat to create massive turnovers for his defense nearly every snap.   Brown finished his freshman season with some extremely impressive stats, ending the year with 90 total tackles (46 solo, 29 for loss), 10 sacks, 20 hurries, 3 fumble recoveries, and one interception.   After racking up a ton of collegiate interest earlier this offseason, Brown picked up another offer from Troy this past week.      JT Barlow is a dominant safety prospect out of Hillcrest who had a huge season in their secondary last fall.   Barlow is a highly athletic and instinctual DB- he's great at identifying plays, flies around the field to get to the ball, and never gets beaten downfield for big gains. Barlow has great ball skills and is a threat to pick off passes anywhere on the field- he tracks opposing QB's eyes and the ball really well and has a reliable set of hands he uses to break up and pick off passes.   Barlow is also a force against the run- he plays with great pursuit, is an impressive tackler, and can easily take down the ball carrier for little to no gain, regardless of where he lines up pre-snap. On top of that, Barlow is a huge playmaker on special teams- he has great vision, finds open lanes, and consistently puts his team in great starting field position.
