Spring Watchlist: Talented Players on Our Radar

He's quick on his feet and has great reaction time and athleticism, which he uses to cover ground and make impact plays every snap. If you're an offense facing him, you're better off looking in another direction. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Murphy is just as impressive as a run defender. He flies in to create stops down by and behind the line of scrimmage, but also shows great pursuit and effort by creating TD preventing stops way downfield in his own team's territory. There's a ton to like about Murphy's game. I think he's going to have a huge year this upcoming fall."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Murphy had a heck of a season this past fall. We all need to look out for him this upcoming season. He's quick to get downhill and is a disruptive force who can get behind the line of scrimmage and pressure/affect the quarterback in a ton of different ways. I'm impressed with his hustle and closing speed. Once he gets moving, he can make some really impressive stops in pursuit. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Kienzle is a super reliable tackler. He's highly reactive, can quickly cover ground, and does a great job wrapping up and not allowing for any additional yards after making contact. Kienzle had a really solid second year and will only keep getting better. There's a ton to already like with his game."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kienzle put together some great film from this past season. He's a talented defender with a huge junior season ahead of him this fall. He has a great first step, is quick on his feet, plays with great power and leverage, and can completely put OL on their heels within seconds of getting off the line. Robinson provides a ton as a pass rusher. He easily makes his way into the backfield to create pressure and place huge hits on the QB- it's really impressive to see.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I think Robinson's just as good at defending the run. He's incredibly physical at the point of attack, has a wide variety of moves he uses to shake off blocks, and is an immovable force once he meets the ball carrier. I think Calera is going to have a huge year with their defensive front. He's a talented passer who thrives on his ability to create from within the pocket and on the move. His arm talent is top-tier- he can place the ball anywhere on the field with great accuracy and has the strength to fit the ball through tight windows and deep downfield.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I'm most impressed with how Vacarella moves within the pocket and on the run. He's fantastic at avoiding pressure and stepping out of sacks to extend plays and keep the chains moving, and has enough speed and mobility to turn upfield and create with his legs as well. If you hadn't seen already, Vacarella had one of the best throws of the year in his GW Hail Mary against Pelham last fall- do yourself a favor and check that out sometime."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm really looking forward to Vacarella's junior year. Warbington is excellent at seeing the field and reading/reacting to opposing offenses. He does a great job putting himself in a position to create impact plays/stops, no matter what is being run. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I think Warbington is a reliable tackler. He's quick to adjust, can wrap up well, and doesn't shy away from delivering big hits. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do in 2026.
