High praise for a player who missed Day One of our tournament. You have to be lights out to be named this high on the list after not appearing for half of the event. We are talking about St. Frances's [player_tooltip player_id='377575' first='Jireh' last='Edwards'], though, so who can be surprised?

A man among literal boys, Edwards was stifling in all areas he occupied. Next-level quickness, a build every Power Four program in the country covets, seeing Edwards in person reminded myself, as well as scouts in attendance, what "elite" looks like, if not for a brief time. Here's what my colleague Todd Haldis had to say in a recent piece.

Jireh was out there looking every bit the part on the field for Team Octane. He played multiple spots on D and was affecting the play no matter where he lined up. Using his size & length to disrupt and break up passes. Saw him make a great break on the ball in one game, diving for the INT help his team get up big. An imposing player, he was key to Octane's defensive success all tournament. No surprise that he is a top talent in the MD 2026 class.

Ranked as a top three tight end among all Maryland 2026 recruits. Holds several offers, some from the likes of Duke, James Madison, Indiana, and South Florida. The entire event was a breeze for Williams, skying above DBs who had no shot of covering Williams' radius. Williams served as a giant window for [player_tooltip player_id='423015' first='Justin' last='Dixon'] to throw into, with the Bullis junior utilizing elite body control to come down with balls way above his head. The best tight end present at this event, an MVP candidate had Level 82 gone further in our Day Two tournament.

MD Octane delivered with several prominent names on both sides of the ball. Poor evaluators might skip over someone like JDA when names like [player_tooltip player_id='377575' first='Jireh' last='Edwards'], [player_tooltip player_id='212349' first='Lavar' last='Keys'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1607617' first='Joshua' last='Parker'] were present. That being said, Todd Haldis and myself couldn't help but be drawn to JDA at outside corner. A chiseled build, great balance and limb-strength made JDA a tough draw for wideouts opposite him, especially in man/press situations. I applaud his overall performance, he garnered serious Top Ten consideration from myself.

Working as the number one option for MoCo Dawgs, [player_tooltip player_id='1120048' first='Rahmise' last='Jones'] was a mismatch for pretty much any DB lined up opposite him. Several 50/50 balls thrown his way, several of which Jones would come down with over the top of DBs heads. We don't need to get too deep into analysis here, Jones was too big and too strong on the perimeter. Man-to-man situations had MoCo coaches drooling over the thought of running fades in favor of Jones. You can see in [player_tooltip player_id='1576342' first='Travon' last='Jackson']'s clip below, "X" was coming away with nearly every ball thrown his direction. A fantastic showing.

Lost track of how many touchdowns Kelly came away with in support of CTC. [player_tooltip player_id='668381' first='Pooty' last='Cunningham'] and [player_tooltip player_id='501394' first='Trent' last='Buttles'] threw several seam/nine/post balls with the intent of scoring from 30-40 yards out, nearly every target of theirs headed Nasir Kelly's way. Kelly came down with several deep shots, proving his acceleration skills and straight line speed too much for opposing DBs. Based on watching Kelly run up close, I can surmise that he has some kind of background as a track sprinter. Defenses would key Kelly and attempt to keep some kind of ceiling over him, defenses would attempt to rotate, yet often too late. Kelly played a major role in CTC's success this past weekend.
