PRZ 7v7 Steel City: GC Motion 18u

GC Motion rolled into Steel City Collision 7v7 with some of the top talent at the event and had some serious hype heading into the weekend. They were primarily from West Virginia, featuring some prospects from other areas around the northeast, sporting some of West Virginia's top prospects. They had multiple prospects who stood out, but also some that showed to be physically college ready.    Snipes was one of the best quarterbacks in attendance, and it showed throughout some of GC Motion's games. The arm talent is there, but on a 40-foot field, you don't get to see a ton of throws by anyone that stretches the field. Where Snipes Jr. stood out was his anticipation. Snipes was able to throw guys open in addition to targeting soft areas in zone coverage by making throws will zero hesitation - too many guys all weekend were afraid to pull the trigger when coverage was tight, Snipes was letting it fly all weekend.     Milburn is the top-ranked WV quarterback in the 2027 class. He splits time at the quarterback position. I caught a game of Milburn and had some filmed reps to take a look at. He had some quality throws over the middle of the field and some nice throws down the field, although his WRs dropped a couple.     Cameron, another quarterback who split time, did a great job when targeting the sidelines. He threw some nice level one balls on a line to guys on the outside. I did not get to see a ton of reps live, but I was able to look back at some clips to fill in the gaps. Strong performance from Cameron.     Thompson was one of the best physically looking prospects at the event and stood out with his play on the field at a high level. While he has a strong catch radius and strong hands, it was his movement and athleticism which really stood out. He showed some really quick and twitch for a 6'4 prospect.     Reese, who was the MVP of PRZ West Virginia camp back in January, was one of the top overall performers at the Steel City 7v7 Tourney. A quick, twitchy athlete, Reese used those traits to create separation at a high rate all weekend.     Pitts Jr. is one of the few non-West Virginia guys on GC Motion and was a consistent performer all weekend. I thought he showed fluid hips in coverage - he has a good body type at the CB position, and although not targeted often, so not many chances to show off his ball skills, I thought at times the spurts where he was not targeted just showcased his coverage skills more.     Shields was another GC Motion athlete who excelled all weekend—he was featured as one of the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/03/prz-pitt-7v7-top-35-18u-non-qb-performers-26-21/" target="_blank">top 25 non-QB performers</a>. Shields dominated the middle of the field and within 10 yards of the LOS. His quickness and twitch created a lot of separation throughout the event.     Wiley was a sure target throughout the weekend, he had a few really impressive catches on some of the clips posted on twitter / A strong route runner it was easy to see why Wiley is among WV's top prospects.     Campbell was another prospect I only had a few notes on, but at 6'5", he had a presence. A player who is still growing into his body, Campbell has potential positional versatility, and he impressed with his athleticism.     Colbert a big strong prospect who will fit best as a DE or TE at the next level, good mover and good hands. I only had a few notes on Colbert so I checked out the tape and I think his athleticism he showed over the weekend backs up what you see on tape.
