Offseason football camps are officially underway in South Carolina after the completion of the Prep Redzone 7-on-7 Football City Clash in Rock Hill. The town of Rock Hill is often referred to as "Football City, USA" because of the surplus of NFL talent that it has produced.

The next wave of great players may have very well been in attendance over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648980' first='Carter' last='Pilon'] - ATH - 2028 - Providence Day

Pilon was a member of the Charlotte G7 squad in attendance and he was far and away the best player on the field. Pilon was the go-to target in each game he played in and was a huge reason for Charlotte's advancement into the second round of bracket play on Sunday. He will only continue to improve and get better, and Pilon could be a in line for a very solid high school career.

Gavin Bronikowski - QB - 2028 - Providence Day

Bronikowski was the quarterback that was connecting time and time again with Pilon over the two days and he looked very good in doing so. Bronikowski and Pilon were always on the same page and the timing between the two was nearly perfect. With three seasons remaining together at Providence Day, those two could become a lethal QB-WR duo in North Carolina.

[player_tooltip player_id='1050653' first='Kiishawn' last='Farrow'] - QB - 2028 - Hillcrest

Farrow played quarterback for one of several Blitz teams in attendance and had a very solid day on Saturday. Farrow's anticipatory throws were often right on the money, and he put his receivers in excellent spots to succeed. While it was not shown at the camp, Farrow will also be able to extend plays with his legs and could be one of the better upcoming dual threat quarterbacks in South Carolina.

Thomas Hay - WR - 2028 - Langtree Charter Academy

Hay was the best player on his Desert Storm team that came up short in their bracket play game on Sunday. He was never the biggest player on the field, but his quickness and ability to maneuver in the open field made him an easy target and he found himself open quite a bit. During his freshman season in 2024, Hay led his team in receiving yards per game (80.7) and was second in total touchdowns with four.

Ricco McCrorey - LB - 2028 - West Charlotte

McCrorey was a member of the Camp Hustle team that won the tournament championship, and his defensive abilities were a major part of that. He played a linebacker/rover type of spot on the field and was constantly the first one to the ball in the open field. Along with that, McCrorey was able to get into his opponent's head on a regular basis and cause a lack of focus that led to dropped passes in certain scenarios. He should have a very promising career ahead of him at the linebacker position.

Xavier Hutchins - ATH - 2028 - Kings Mountain

Hutchins was all over the field for his team during both days of the camp and he made quite the impact at all the positions he played. He was the primary receiver on offense and finished with the most pass deflections and interceptions on defense. With the ability to play both sides of the ball at a high level, it would not be a surprise to see him make a big impact on his high school team in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264500' first='Jayden' last='Arthur'] - ATH - 2028 - South Rowan

Arthur played both sides of the ball and his quickness and instincts on defense made it look like he was always two steps ahead of the play. His break on the ball in coverage allowed him to break up passes as well as pick off passes. Offensively, his burst off the line of scrimmage made him an open target early and his speed in space helped him run away from defenders and pick up extra yards.
