With his skillset and frame, I like him as a Safety. So'o is an athletic mover and someone who is instinctual. He displays quick reactionary skills and will plant his back foot and close a lot of ground. So'o is a textbook tackler and a physical player and disruptor in space. He has good lateral quickness and closing speed. With the ball in the air, So'o has excellent hands to disrupt and make a play on the ball. He's been a two-way player and as a receiver shows good footwork, excellent body control, and good ball-tracking skills. His athleticism comes through with the ball in his hands where he can create in space. So'o is a player with an intriguing skillset that should catch the eye regionally at the next level.

DeMartini is a two-way player who showcases good athleticism. I like him as a safety. He has natural instincts and diagnoses quickly. DeMartini has good range and excellent ball skills. He is a willing tackler and will be a box safety and help in run support. As a receiver, he shows good footwork, creates separation and good with in-and-out breaking routes, and shows good ball-tracking skills.

Evans is a hybrid defender who can play both linebacker and safety positions. I like his frame and style of play for safety. Evans has an excellent frame and range for that position. He has good instincts and is a physical player who is a good tackler and excellent in run support and rushing the quarterback. He showcases active hands with good ball skills to make a play on the ball. Evans has good coverage skills and closing speed. He should get looked at regionally in recruiting.

Palmer is an intriguing prospect who plays multiple positions including defensive end and linebacker. With his frame and style of play, I like him as a box safety at the next stage. He showcases good range and a good first step. That burst allows him to cover ground as a backer and should transfer well to safety. Palmer is a physical player, easily sheds blockers in run support, and shows good pass-rushing skills. With his closing speed and physicality, he makes for an interesting box safety without having to put too much mass on his frame.

Matheson is an athletic cover corner with good length and size to grow into. He displays good coverage skills and sticks to a receivers hip with active hands. Matheson is a willing tackler and has good range. He's an oppurtunist and with the ball in the air will make a play on the ball and his ball-skills make him a high ceiling cover corner in the state that will get looked at regionally, with bigger upside in reruiting.

Those were five defensive backs who will take the next steps for the upcoming season and should be impactful on their respective teams.
