Makai is the best athlete on the team and has been leaned on as a two-way player this year. He’s been asked to take on a bigger role on offense and be the WR1 in the offense. He does well in creating separation and he shows good hands and can create after the catch. He’s been the go to target and has been the most efficient player on offense, if he can get off to a good start, it should go a long way for Northridge to pull off a tough road win.
So’o is a key piece of the defense and is an active defender that showcases good anticaption, with a nose for being around the ball. He has a quick first step, shows good ability to shed his defender and is effective as an on-ball attacking backer and does well in space and coverage. He was an important piece of the defense last year and will be one of the leaders on that unit this year.
So’o is a hybrid athlete and simply a playmaker. With his skillset and frame, I like him as a Safety. So’o is an athletic mover and someone who is instinctual. He displays quick reactionary skills and will plant his back foot and close a lot of ground. So’o is a textbook tackler and a physical player and disruptor in space. He has good lateral quickness and closing speed. With the ball in the air, So’o has excellent hands to disrupt and make a play on the ball. He’s been a two-way player and as a receiver shows good footwork, excellent body control, and good ball-tracking skills. His athleticism comes through with the ball in his hands where he can create in space. So’o is a player with an intriguing skillset that should catch the eye regionally at the next level.
