Boston Wright
About Boston
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Boston has great size and a large frame that he will continue to grow into. He’ll easily get to 215lbs and carry that weight well. He has a great arm. The ball effortlessly jumps out of his hands; the spin rate is fantastic. He has great ball placement and knows when to throw with velocity and when to layer his throws. He’s an excellent passer who stands tall in the pocket and has all the tools you want to see. He throws 55+ yards effortlessly and has a great deep ball. He’s a type of player that other talented players will gravitate towards. He has immense talent and would not be a shock if he garners multiple P4 offers. Should be the unquestioned JV starter as a Freshman.

Boston is a signal caller with excellent size for any class let alone for a 2030. I’ve seen him throw in person and he has great arm talent, he has the size and arm talent of an upperclassman. He processes quickly, shows good velocity, and is a signal caller who moves around in the pocket well enough and will be someone who will flirt with the starting JV role and could very well suit up on Friday nights.

Wright is a C/O 30 prospect but is already 6’2 and could start right now for Layton. He projects to grow and get to 6’5-6’6 range and easily over 215 lbs. His frame is there, his arm talent is also there and he made nice throws throughout the morning and had good ball placement and threw with good rhythm and timing, he didn’t need to see his receiver break before throwing it out. He has good technique and footwork and is an exciting prospect for the 2030 class.
