Today, I would like to feature five guys who work to defeat blocks on Friday nights.

Here is a look af five top uncommitted defensive linemen from Kansas. I selected this group for a couple of reasons: they have claimed their Prep Redzone Profiles and have public stats and video accessible.

Davis has cat-like reflexes and a bulldog mentality. This young man can flat out get after it. He finished his junior season with 66 tackles and three quarterback sacks. Davis can play inside or outside, depending on how a college coaching staff chooses to develop and utilize him. He has an offer from McPherson College and a camp invite from Northern Iowa. I would be shocked if he ended up with an NAIA program. His size might scare off some Division I coaches, but JUCO and Division II programs should line up to get this young man on campus. Davis is ranked No. 20 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas and is the No. 2 ranked defensive lineman.

Litton is an athletic multi-sport prospect who has been collecting college offers at a fast rate of late. He has offers from Eastern Illinois and Southern Illinois in just the past week. He is a quick prospect who can play as an edge rusher or as a tight end. Last season, he recorded 22 tackles and made two receptions. He also plays basketball for the Trojans. Litton chipped in 4.9 points and four rebounds per game for Beloit. The Trojans were one win away from qualifying for the Class 3A State Tournament, falling to Lakin in a Sub-State title game. Litton is ranked No. 27 overall among his Kansas peers and is the fourth-ranked defensive lineman. Not that he won't be recruited as a tight end, but I see his college future lined up on the defensive front.

Norwood could draw some attention this off-season. Last year, he competed at the Emporia State camp and should appear on the camp and clinic scene this spring and summer. He has long arms and creates leverage problems for potential blockers. His size and power make him a legitimate interior defender. He wraps up tackles and is difficult to double-team. In the long run, he projects as a Division II or JUCO prospect. He has garnered interest from Lindenwood. He is currently ranked No. 40 overall and as the sixth-ranked lineman.

Shearer might be a small school prospect, but there is nothing small about his game. He is fast and wreaks havoc behind the line of scrimmage. He recorded 68 tackles last fall and 10 quarterback sacks. He has an explosive first step and the versatility to play in the interior or on the edge. He has also played center on the offensive side of things. Scouts should be able to find him during the camp and combine season. He has invites to attend camps at Peru State, Chadron State, and Graceland. The Lincoln prospect is ranked No. 79 overall and the eighth-ranked defensive lineman in the Sunflower State.

Bowlin is a stocky lineman who can play across a center or a guard. He is a gap-filler and can pressure the quarterback. He finished his junior season with 37 tackles, 10 of which came behind the line of scrimmage. He has powerful legs, and they don't stop. He plays with a low center of gravity. I can see him being utilized on the offensive line as well, especially around the goal line. He looks like he could be in the middle of a rugby scrum or the lead blocker in a tush-push play at the one-yard line. He is ranked No. 98 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He was an all-league defensive lineman last year and has an invitation to play in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl in December.
