Putnam City standout [player_tooltip player_id='1297663' first='Gabriel' last='Osborne'] is a 2027 prospect that we first started writing about around a year ago. Based solely on a couple of clips from his freshman season, we were convinced that Osborne had a bright future as an overall athlete prospect. College coaches have agreed and he has seen his recruitment start to take off and he's becoming more and more popular when it comes to being an elite prospect in the state's 2027 class. He's very dangerous on the defensive side of the ball so it wouldn't surprise us if that's where his future is at the college level. Osborne is also a threat in special teams as a kick returner and it wouldn't be surprising to see Putnam City find ways for him to get involved in other areas of the game.

Del City's [player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] joined the Eagles last year after a breakout freshman season at El Reno. During his freshman year, Blackwolf was known more for his abilities at the running back position but he is a terrific athlete that impacted the game for Del City in multiple ways. In addition to his prowess on the offensive side of the ball, Blackwolf would emerge as a hybrid defender that seemed just as comfortable as a defensive back as when he was lining up closer to a traditional linebacker spot. Either way, he impacted the game on both sides of the ball and in special teams. He's also a standout on the basketball floor so anyway you look at it, it feels fairly obvious that Blackwolf is going to be one of the top athletes in the state's 2027 class.

Bristow standout [player_tooltip player_id='1293011' first='Promised' last='Johnson'] is a 2027 prospect that we watched for the first time at a team camp last year. Johnson immediately got our attention by simply passing the eye test. In a team camp that featured some really good players, Johnson, who was just finishing up his freshman year, looked like he belonged with all of them. Then we watched as he played a variety of positions on both sides of the ball and it was clear that he was going to be very important to what the Pirates did on offense and defense. Bristow is going to have a new head coach for the second straight season but we have no doubts that Johnson will be a big part of the game plan. There is a lot to like here and in our opinion, the arrow is pointing up.

Broken Arrow's [player_tooltip player_id='716513' first='Payton' last='Lang'] is on our shortlist of 2027 prospects we're fired up to see this fall. Lang moved to BA from Muskogee and while at the start of his high school career, he was a quarterback, it's clear that he's an incredibly talented athlete. So when he takes the field for Broken Arrow this fall, we could end up seeing Lang in a variety of positions but no matter where he lines up, he's a player that could have a significant impact on the game. And we've already gone on the record multiple times since January that we think Broken Arrow is about to bounce back in a major way. They have young talent everywhere and Lang is part of that group. He's another 2027 prospect who's stock continues to climb in our opinion.

The last time we watched Tuttle's [player_tooltip player_id='1035155' first='Jalen' last='Lane'] in person with the pads on, it was the Class 4A state championship game. And in our opinion, in a game full of stars on both sides, Lane was one of the more impactful players in the game. Offensively, he gave Tuttle a boost at the wide receiver position and he's primed to become their top target in the passing game this fall. Defensively, he also had a very strong performance in the secondary and that wasn't surprising after seeing him a handful of times earlier in the season. Lane really grabbed our attention during that state championship game and he could be primed for an even bigger 2025 season. Lane has a lot of momentum going right now and we're looking forward to seeing what he does with it.
