So many that we ended up doing more than double the previous 109 ranked athletes. The list now sits at 223 ranked athletes. All of the new talent really shook up the rankings. 13 of the Top 50 are student athletes who were added during this round of updates. The topic of today's article will more than likely have a Part II because of all the new additions, but today we start with a look at the film of the Top 10 highest ranked new additions.
An athlete who is going to spend his high school career battling near the top of the OL and overall rankings is Verona's '27 LT. Ethan checks so many boxes of a recruit that is poised to see his recruitment explode in the coming months-year.

He has an elite frame with FBS length at 6'7". The massive OT is just starting to fill out that frame, tipping the scales at a clean 240 lbs. With such a lean frame you hope to see strong athletic traits, and Ethan delivers there. He is quick out of his stance, can reach a DL, close quickly on an LB, or get out in the open field a run to cut off a DB in pursuit. The size and athleticism are major strengths, but don't let that lead to you sleeping on his strength. Ethan has little trouble getting into the chest of a DL and driving them off the line of scrimmage to open up huge running lanes for his RBs. The '27 LT is a name that needs to be circled going forward.

The Class of 2027 is going to give us a historically great OL group. One reason it is looking deeper than ever is because [player_tooltip player_id='1620170' first='Sam' last='Cheever'] moved to the state from Minnetonka, MN. Sam sure looks the part of a future recruit that is on every recruiting board in the Midwest and beyond.

Sam is starting to build an outstanding resume of talent and attributes. First off, the sophomore already stands at 6'8" 280 lbs. Numbers that would have you think he's a college sophomore, not a high school sophomore. After watching through his tape you start to feel bad for the kids he faced. Sam's mass and power overwhelmed opponents, giving him the opportunity to manhandle the opposing DL/LB. There is so much room for improvement in the areas of his mobility, flexibility, and overall body control that will skyrocket his recruitment. Get eyes on this kid early.

It is so fun watching the development of these massive OT recruits. At an early age you see different strengths of their game develop faster than other parts. With [player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt'], the 6'6" 265 lbs LT, his mobility, flexibility, and overall athleticism are his major strengths on top of his elite frame/length. Sam is able to comfortably pull across the formation and lead up to the second level. His feet are quick and allow him to position himself so he has the leverage and is always between the ball and defender. The quickly rising OT also does pack a punch on contact, but there is a lot more room for strength gains that will take his game to another level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620187' first='Harold' last='Lewis'] breaks into the 2027 rankings and comes away with the #1 RB spot. The 800 yard rusher for the varsity team has the most well rounded game of the RBs we have come across in this Class, and does a lot of those traits very well. His vision and burst pair together perfectly behind the line of scrimmage as he finds and attacks the hole with no hesitation. The speed is there through the hole and he has a second gear for the open field. The '27 RB does a great job downfield setting up blocks and taking in everything so that he can quickly find the paths of least resistance. When Harold gets the ball in his hands he has that innate ability to find ways to make the special, highlight reel play on a consistent basis. Check out the electric highlights.

I have quickly become a huge fan of the way that [player_tooltip player_id='1620211' first='James' last='Banks'] plays on the interior of the varsity OL for West Bend West. James is an absolutely dominant bulldozer of a guard/OC. Between his strong hands, leg drive, and overall ability to create power on contact, the sophomore OL is able to run DTs off the line or flatten edge defenders with his kick out blocks. I love the mentality he play with on tape too. James is always hunting for someone to attack. If he is uncovered you can bet his head is on a swivel looking for something to hit. He has the physicality, the power, and the mentality needed to thrive in the trenches at the next level. You need to check this kid out and keep a close eye on his development.

Hunter is an intriguing OL prospect. As a sophomore he earned a starting RT spot on a State Championship qualifying team. His frame suggests a future on the interior, but there are a lot of things to like about his tape at RT this year. While out on the island as an OT Hunter was demonstrated he has the feet, balance, and quick hands to be able to provided consistently secure pass protection. He has shown the ability to be able to get deep vs speed, and react to inside counter moves before he could get caught out of position. The sophomore OL also does a great job of getting his man on the ground. Technique, athleticism, and the right mentality come together to create this intriguing sophomore.

Another one of my favorite new additions is Germantown's LT [player_tooltip player_id='1620317' first='Brady' last='Moranski']. The future is looking very bright for the '27 LT. He has a budding frame that is loaded up with athleticism, agility, and balance. I love what I see from Brady in pass protection. Comfortably getting depth vs speed rushers, accurate hand placement to be able to control his man on contact, a strong anchor, and the ability to recover if he does get caught at an awkward angle while engaged. In the run game Brady does a great job moving laterally while battling for position and then driving his man off the line when he gets it. As the '27 continues to grow and fill out we could see him continue to climb the ranks. This is an athlete to get excited about and keep a close eye on.

One of the top athletes in this Class is Green Bay Notre Dame's [player_tooltip player_id='1620318' first='Kingston' last='Allen']. The '27 played CB, RB, and also served as a return man in 2024 on a team that won a State Championship. It is easy to see why his coaches wanted to carve out a role for him. Kingston has a strong frame that is loaded up with athleticism. The speed to break off the big play is there. He has the elusive agility to make an LB miss one on one in the hole. His vision is strong with the ball in his hands. The tape is filled with plays where he makes one cut and is upfield and gone. His decisive running fits the offense perfectly. Out wide at CB Kingston gets to show off more of his quick feet and agility as he is able to play tight coverage and accelerate through the catch point to break up passes. Allen is a versatile athlete who is going to continue to move up these rankings.

Another varsity standout 2027 is S/RB [player_tooltip player_id='1620319' first='Christopher' last='Kenesie']. Kenesie's versatility at safety as a sophomore is special. You can trust him to cover deep, read the play, and recognize where the ball is going then make a play on it. Kenesie can also be asked to slide down near the line and play man to man on an RB or a slot and still make plays on the ball. You can also trust him to be the last line of defense with his tackling, and you can have him down in the box in run support. His ability to line up all over the field is a key chess piece to offer DCs. Check out this kid's tape.

One of the top outside receivers in this class is newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='1612305' first='Christian' last='Miller']. The 6'3" 185 lbs sophomore was a varsity contributor thanks to his already well developed skillset. Miller does a great job of using his body to his advantage. Whether it is high pointing the ball, boxing out a DB, or using his impressive ability to adjust last second, Christian finds ways to protect the ball and secure the catch. The bigger receiver also does really well with his route running. He is able to stay under control and goes into his breaks with speed, giving DBs a hard time to try and react in time. The basketball background also shines through on the football field in several areas of his game. Christian is another athlete in this Class to keep watch over.
