Being a part of our rankings team, I have the opportunity to see all sorts of film. A guilty pleasure of mine in that process is that I get to highlight prospects with film that I absolutely enjoyed watching. In this piece, I do exactly that.

If you are looking for a subtle, sneaky tight end that will surprise you with a really nice play every now-and-again, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='1597964' first='Lukas' last='Iliescu']. In a limited role on varsity, we see that Iliescu is apt at slipping inside of down blocks to leak out for easy pitch-and-catches. He does so every-so-smoothly by using his hands well. Furthermore, we see that the young tight end can readjusts his routes in response to what he is seeing ahead of him and high points the ball adequately. As an in-line blocker, Iliescu has a good base and really works to get into his assignment, operating chest-to-chest. Additionally, he has a good upward bend at moments when drive blocking, showing that he is getting more comfortable activating power from his hips.

Amongst the film that was watched, add [player_tooltip player_id='1141049' first='Maddox' last='Mingucci'] to the short lists of prospects that are way more physically advanced for their age. Mingucci played all over the field, and as such, I am unsure exactly where he will project out positionally at this time. One thing is clear: Mingucci is well coached. We see him never get sucked up and play too deep in the backfield. This discipline, along with his strength that allows him to push people around, makes him a menacing figure within the defensive line's interior. Offensively I want to see him use his size to actively attack matchups who try to kick him out, blowing up the play in the process. As he conditions and trains his bend and movement in space will also improve. Out of all the prospects, Mingucci might be one of the rawest, but has a great opportunity to be coached up and add technique to his inherent abilities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1141042' first='Mekhi' last='McNair'] is typically the type of prospect I would overlook. This Hudl has two clips that show he is the first man down the field on kickoff, stays in his lane, and effectively squeezes to the ball while wanting to bang and make the tackle; however, what makes McNair a prospect of note is that he currently holds a verbal offer from Syracuse. With [player_tooltip player_id='389746' first='Cameron' last='Miller'] set to graduate this spring, expect a larger timeshare to be available for McNair this fall.
