Pouncy is a player who burst onto the scene in his sophomore season. At 6'3 200 pounds he has the frame and athleticism to be a versatile weapon on defense. He has the speed and athleticism to play defensive back, and he also has the size and strength to play linebacker. How he continues to develop physically will determine what position he ends up playing at the next level. Right now, I like him as a big safety who can roam in the defensive backfield and make plays., He's comfortable in space and possesses good instincts and ball skills. Josiah already has picked up a handful of MAC offers and I think this offseason he'lll start to get P4 interest.

Robinson is another defensive back with exceptional length. He can play both cornerback and safety. Right now I like him a little more at the safety position at the next level, but if he can continue to continue to work on getting more explosive, I think he could also excel as a big corner. Khyier has fluid hips and change of direction skills. When the ball goes in the air he has a nice break and has the ball skills to go get it. Robinson currently holds 5 MAC offers, and with a strong camp season I could see him start to garner P4 interests.

I was first turned onto Cornerback Amar'e by his position coach at Chaminade Julienne, Vayante Copeland. The former Michigan State starting cornerback knows a little bit about playing the position. When I turned on the film I was not disappointed. Roney is a fun watch. Roney is a versatile corner who's an impact maker in both the pass and run game. In coverage the sophomore is technician in press man coverage. He does a great job of getting hands on the receiver and even has the strength to run him out of bounds. He also has the feet, hips on a swivel, and ability to run to stay in the hip pocket of the receiver. As he continues to get bigger and stronger, I think he'll really start to bully receivers at the line of scrimmage with a strong punch. In the run game Amar'e love to come up and stick people. I'd be really surprised if he didn't start to get D1 attention this offseason and I'm really excited about his future.

In the Beavers defense Webster lines up both at cornerback and safety. I like him as a box safety at the next level. He has the speed and athleticism to cover Tight Ends and Running Backs and also be able to come up and make plays in his run fits. Webster loves to throw his body around and make plays in the run game. He also shows the ability to swipe strip the ball away from ball carriers and create turnovers for his team. As Webster continues to develop physically and get stronger, I think he could turn into a physical presence on defense who can also make plays in coverage. I'm interested to see what Webster is able to put on film next fall.

Olentangy has been known for a high-octane passing offense over the last few years and while that may be true, I think it's overshadowed what has been a really good defense. Cornelius had a strong sophomore campaign for the Braves. Jett is a smooth athlete, and with a name like Jet it should come as no surprise that he can run. When you watch the film you see a patient comfortable corner who just runs the route of the receiver. He's comfortable in press or off coverage. When the ball is in the air, he does a great job of playing the ball rather than the man. Due to his short space quickness and good feet I like him a little more as a slot corner at the next level who can also play outside.
