The Class of 2028 Rankings are LIVE! The inaugural debut has brought us 109 ranked athletes and a stable of Watch List athletes that we will be keeping an eye on over the coming years. While this is the inaugural rankings, this isn't the first list of 2028s on the PRZ WI site. Back in the summer we debuted the Watch List of who was already on our radar. Since then we have seen a lot of other freshmen put themselves on our radar. That is where we focus today. Some of the top ranked athletes who are brand new to the Watch List/Rankings. Let's dive in!

Running back, wide receiver, return man. Arrowhead put Devin in every position they could to get the ball in his hands between the JV and varsity teams. The versatile athlete is one of the best in this Class. I highly recommend watching the highlights below. The playmaker traits jump off the tape. Speed to break off the big play as soon as he gets a seam. Vision to find and utilize blocks or set up defenders. His balance and body control also shine as superior traits from making defenders miss to tracking down receptions deep downfield. Devin is a very well rounded weapon that is only going to get better with time.

One of our top new additions to this Class is the two way playmaker out of Sun Prairie East. Jack was a problem at WR and off the edge as a freshman. He is always one of the biggest and strongest athletes on the field. He uses that to both create space or win 50/50 balls as well as set the edge by standing up blockers and then making the tackle. Jack also has natural hands that pluck the ball out of the air, and surprises with his speed when he is in the open field. Jack is a versatile athlete that is going to be one to watch closely as he continues to develop and grow.

Another up and coming member of the Arrowhead freshman Class is the 6'3" 175 lbs WR Ben Prescher. The '28 was able to work his way into some varsity run in his first year of HS ball. Watching through the highlights it is clear that Ben makes a big impact as a vertical. Between the pure speed and long strides, Ben is able to quickly stack his CB and pull away as he tracks down the ball. The freshman WR also did well on short routes, finding the soft spots and settling in for his QB to find him for an easy completion. The big target also already possesses quick feet that help him be elusive after the catch. Prescher is a very exciting athlete that teams will want to have on their radar early on.

Coming in at an impressive 6'3" 270 lbs, Ethan is one of the top student athletes to keep an eye on in this Class. He made a big impact on the OL and DL in his first season of HS football. His size comes loaded up with power, he does well playing with his hands. He possesses a surprising burst off the line. Ethan also already does well trying to win with leverage and body positioning. If he continues to grow and works on his game we could see him continue to climb right into the Top 10 overall players.

Malachi put together a great year for Janesville Craig on varsity. In his first season he proved he could be a reliable, go-to WR in big situations. Malachi does really well using his speed to either win deep or set up DBs and then quickly cut or comeback to the QB, opening up plenty of separation. The freshman WR also proved he is able to go up and get the ball as well as make the last second adjustment or twist, or contortion to reel in the pass. Malachi is clearly one of the top WR talents in this Class at this point. Check him out.

Nolan is an exciting weapon in the passing game. He is currently on the line of a big, possession WR and a TE. The freshman playmaker has soft hands to give his QB a big catch radius. He is a smooth route runner and utilizes his size to make space from DBs or LBs really well. The big man also has proven to be a difficult tackle after the catch with his contact balance and flashes of a strong stiff arm. Once he got into space Nolan also proved that he has the speed to create the big play if DBs didn't corral him right away. Nolan is looking like an up and coming mismatch.

I'm very excited to watch Ivory over the coming years. He could find himself in position to battle for varsity time this fall with the graduation of South Dakota State RB commit [player_tooltip player_id='245986' first='Josiah' last='Johnson']. Ivory shows early signs of being a well rounded, workhorse back. He has a solid frame to handle the workload. He runs with explosive lateral agility to slip through traffic and make people miss. The freshman doesn't shy away from contact either. Plus he has that second gear in the open field. Keep an eye on this kid. He is one of the top RBs in this Class.

Levi is one of the more electric athletes I watched in this Class. He spent time at WR and QB, making highlight reel plays at both. He honestly could shine at either at the HS level because he clearly has the athletic skill set to lean on. His combo of vision, agility, acceleration, and top end speed make him so dangerous with the ball in his hands. Levi has a solid arm too, slinging it to every level of the field with ease. However, I can't help but be most excited during his WR highlights. Out wide he is such a mismatch with how sudden and shifty he is before and after the catch. He is going to be a big problem for DBs to stay on. Wherever he lines up, Levi is going to make plays. Get an early look at this kid. I'm very excited to see what he does as a sophomore.

Next up is one of our top TE recruits in this Class. Dane was able to make a varsity impact as a freshman and looked like he belonged while doing it. Dane is a smooth athlete who did well getting clean releases off the line of scrimmage. Throughout his highlights he proved to be a nightmare for LBs to find and stay on as he dominated over the middle of the field. The freshman TE plays with soft hands, catching the ball away from his body, and he has the speed to make an impact at the varsity level. He is only going to get better and better over the years as he continues to grow and gain experience. Check out his freshman season.

It will be interesting to see if DC Everest goes from Bangtson to Bangtson in the varsity backfield this fall. Andrew might not have to handle quite the workload this season, but I won't be surprised to see him taking snaps. The '28 RB stands out from the crowd on his freshman highlights. Superior speed, size, contact balance, and power made him allowed him to carve up the lower level defenses. Andrew also demonstrated that he can be a reliable target out of the backfield too. When a kid stands out from the crowd of his peers like Andrew did in his highlights it is a great sign of things to come. I can't wait to see him take that step up in competition.
