2028 Watch List: 7 EDGE/Linebackers Prospects to Know

Tyson was a talented standup rusher for the Cougars as a freshman and did a nice job creating havoc in the backfield but also keeping edge contain on outside runs. His early body type makes him versatile in being able to execute both duties with quality speed, quickness, and hand use to rush the passer and the size and strength to stop outside runs. Morgantown's [player_tooltip player_id='1311026' first='Brooks' last='King'] was a standout on the Mohigans' younger squad this past season and should earn some varsity opportunities as a sophomore and junior. His game right now translates well as a hybrid LB/S role and the type of athlete that can be moved around in various alignments on defense. King showed a knack for the ball as a freshman creating and securing several turnovers. Henry is another young linebacker whose body will continue to develop to match his ability but is showing early signs in the other areas of his game that you can see potential. He has the athleticism to play in coverage and also does a nice job dissecting outside runs from his OLB spot in his two game highlights. His tape against South Charleston's JV is a good contrast and how we'd like to see him consistently play with more aggression and quickness compared to his Herbert Hoover tape. He's an early body type that will catch your eye but is still learning how to use it and growing into it. When Westfall is playing fast and not tentatively, you can see his potential and what he can develop into over time. Brown led the Class A state runner-ups in tackles, TFLs, and sacks as a freshman with 101, 17, and 11 respectively. While there's not much film to evaluate of him right now, we got eyes on Brown in person during the playoffs and also saw him on the big stage in Charleston for the state championship against Wahama. He's undersized for an EDGE prospect but was versatile this season for Cameron lining up as a true EDGE, DL, and OLB while making plays at all three spots.
