2027 Rankings Update- Explosive RBs Added to Our List

James is a dynamic back capable of making plays on the ground and as a receiver- he's used in all sorts of ways within his team's offense and creates explosive plays whenever the ball is in his hands. James is patient behind the line of scrimmage and has great vision, he waits for blocks to develop and capitalizes greatly, coming away with huge gains untouched. James is quick and tough to stop in the open field, he can make defenders miss, can change direction effortlessly, and has the speed to outrun entire defenses- it's impressive to watch. James was super reliable for Alma Bryant last season, finding ways to make plays against some talented defensive fronts all year long. Holt was excellent both as a returner and out of the backfield last fall- he is highly athletic, plays with a ton of speed and toughness, and can make plays everywhere on the field. Holt has terrific acceleration out of the backfield- he uses his speed greatly to his advantage, once he hits the open field, good luck catching up and stopping him. On top of his speed, Holt is a very physical player- he takes on hits really well, has great contact balance, and can power through defenders for extra yardage. Holt can also produce in the passing game, he's a reliable target out of the backfield and consistently came up with some big catches out in the flats to move the chains. Holt was hurt early on in the season but provided great production in just a few games played. At 6'0 205, Duncan is a tough back to stop- at his size he plays with great speed, is incredibly quick, and dominates defenders with his physicality. Duncan has excellent contact balance and doesn't get taken down easily- he sheds off tacklers with ease, trucks over defenders, and fights for every possible yard each carry. Duncan really gets moving when he's headed downhill- once he clears through the line of scrimmage and hits the open field he is a hard player to stop, coming up with massive gains against some talented defenses. Bender is an explosive prospect with tons of twitch out of the backfield- he makes quick, sharp cuts that make defenders miss, and can completely exploit opposing defenses with his speed. Bender runs hard- he doesn't go down easily and sometimes requires multiple defenders to bring him down, he plays with a ton of power and speed that make him tough to stop. Bender was all over the field for Southern Choctaw last season- ending the year completing 26/41 pass attempts for 407 yards and 4 touchdowns, 126 carries for 720 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground, 4 receptions for 56 yards in the air, and 17 total tackles on defense.
