Earlier today, I released the final rankings update for the class of 2025. This group of seniors was a special group to cover throughout the past four years. In fact, this is the first class that I've seen completely through from freshman to senior.

Now, it's time for me to announce who I think are the biggest steals in this class. The six guys included in this article are all ones I've scouted in person, and all have tremendous upside. Another interesting tidbit is that we've got two prospects committed to Saginaw Valley, two committed to Northwood, one committed to Hope, and one committed to Hillsdale. Needless to say, I think those three programs made amazing decisions!

Signed with Saginaw Valley State

Yes, two major steals from Saginaw Valley State! I spoke about this a bit already, but [player_tooltip player_id='1298657' first='Lawrence' last='Wells'] could be the GLIAC steal of the year. Previously committed to Central Michigan, Lawrence sports one of the best arms I've seen in the class alongside great accuracy in a 7on7 setting. I have not watched a full game of Lawrence, and I understand that's a giant blind spot of mine. Still, his performance at the MHSAA Eval Camp in Brighton proved that he's a D1 talent when playing at his best. D1 arm, D1 body, D1 accuracy- at least in a camp setting. Should be a high-level player in the GLIAC in a couple of years!

RB | [player_tooltip player_id='1224468' first='Dallas' last='Walsh'] | Millington

Signed with Northwood

I completely forgot to include [player_tooltip player_id='1224468' first='Dallas' last='Walsh'] in this rankings update- my bad. He would have ranked around 85 overall. That said, Dallas has proved to me over the past few months that he's a high-end D2 talent. His testing numbers are excellent, he's built extremely well, and played extremely well this season. The only big knock you can put on Dallas is his strength of schedule. Other than that, he's very well-rounded. Just a bit of improvement on vision and contact balance may soon earn Dallas playing time at one of the highest-rising programs in Michigan.

LB/S | [player_tooltip player_id='899627' first='Dalton' last='Drogosh'] | De La Salle

Signed with Saginaw Valley State

Last year, Dalton earned quite a bit of recruiting attention from D1 schools. He even earned some offers. Now, he's signed with Saginaw Valley State and may earn an early opportunity to see the field.

Dalton is built far better than the vast majority of linebackers & safeties. Plus, he has the athletic numbers to back up those D1 offers. Most importantly, his tape is very, very good. At linebacker, Dalton is incredibly reactive and hits hard. He's able to read the backfield, scrape, and attack, usually with good pursuit. The only real nitpick I have is Dalton's tackling is inconsistent. Some high hits alongside some arm tackles- but not too much of a problem. I know that Dalton can also play safety at a pretty high level.

Dalton is frankly on another level when compared to other GLAIC LB/S commits. Can't wait to see what Dalton will be able to accomplish at SV!

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='899622' first='Braden' last='Rabideau'] | Lansing Catholic

Signed with Hillsdale

The Wide Receiver market is always extremely saturated. It's SO hard to break through as a receiver, and I'll say it- a good amount of getting recruited at this position comes down to luck. I had a confident D2 evaluation on Braden, and I believe he has a shot to be an incredible player at Hillsdale. Braden is a twitchy slot receiver who excels at those short-intermediate routes, as you'd expect. Braden also utilizes a good number of head/shoulder fakes, further bolstering his routes. Plus, Braden played excellently this past season. In the state championship alone, Braden racked up 6 catches for 103 yards. Can't wait to follow his career at Hillsdale!

WR/DB | [player_tooltip player_id='602240' first='Micah' last='Carefelle'] | Mona Shores

Signed with Hope

Micah has been a steady force for Mona Shores since his sophomore season. Especially this past season, Micah did an excellent job as a two-phase player (S/WR). As a receiver, Micah ran the fade as good as any. As a result, he's developed great ball tracking skills and good hands- especially deep. This season, Micah saw more targets in the short-intermediate portions of the field. Now more than ever, Micah is a well-rounded receiver who can fit most roles.

As a safety, Micah surprised me. I was pleasantly surprised with his range, tackling, and overall play speed. Plus, Micah is a rock-solid leader- something I can only say about a handful of prospects. I feel very good about his potential at Hope!

ATH | [player_tooltip player_id='899583' first='Korbin' last='Sulitis'] | Petoskey

Signed with Northwood

I liked Kobin a year ago. For most of his career, I viewed him as a fringe D2 LB/EDGE rusher from a very under-scouted school. This past season, Korbin blew me away. Petoskey put him at QB and played a very similar role to what Joshua Burnham played for Traverse City Central back in 2021. That is, a TON of designed QB runs and overall putting the offense on his back. For a player who mostly excelled on defense, that's a big ask. Korbin not only succeeded but excelled. He helped lead Petoskey to an 11-1 record and a trip to the Regional Finals. (For context, Petoskey went 6-5 in 2023 and 4-5 in 2022).

I'm not saying Korbin is equivalent to Josh Burnham, but I am saying that he has a special kind of grit just as Josh did. Korbin played just about every down for all four quarters and led his team through a historic season. Absolutely incredible pickup for Northwood!
