Nobody is talking about Korbin, who is having one of the best seasons of any football player in Michigan. I’d go as far as saying Korbin deserves Mr. Football consideration.
He’s been a two-way player all season at QB/DE/OLB.
I’ve watched Korbin over the years at defensive end. There, I’ve always been impressed with his explosive getoff and physicality. Alongside great motor, Korbin is always a threat to sack the QB, stop outside runs, and even earn run stops from the backside.
Korbin is new to the QB position. New to the position, he’s led Petoskey to 41 points per game. He’s an OK passer, but definitely capable. As a runner, he’s powerful and always fights for extra yards.
Great player, and I’m excited to see how Korbin does against DeWitt.

Korbin is one of the hiddens gems of the Class of 2025. He plays for a relatively unknown Petoskey team, but as of late, they’ve had a few star players. Korbin is an EDGE rusher through and through. There are times when he lines up as an off-ball outside linebacker, but the bulk of his reps are as an EDGE guy. He fires off the ball with great explosiveness and speed, and he’s able to beat most tackles with sheer speed and good bend around the edge. He can also shed blocks with power and a good rip move. He’s a D2 prospect in my eyes, and he will be someone who’s information I will send to several colleges.

The reality of Michigan High School Football recruiting is that most recruiting efforts are focused in the Metro Detroit area. If you’re a Northern Michigan product like Korbin, it takes a lot more to get your name out there.
Korbin’s film is impressive. His explosive getoff allows him to get to rush faster than most. His pass rush is top-tier with violent hands and a relentless motor. His size and strength allow him to overpower a lot of linemen, and he sports a good rip move that was unblockable for a lot of the linemen he faced. With run defense, he’s good at setting the edge and working through his blocks to get to the ballcarrier on outside runs. I would love to see Korbin face off against better competition this offseason, and if he’s able to make a few trips south to attend camps, I could easily see several colleges taking interest.rnI have not seen Korbin in person, but based on his film I’d say he has GLIAC upside.
