The Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase series rolled through Oklahoma and we got a chance to see some of Oklahoma's best really stand out throughout a chilly Sunday afternoon. Throughout the next few days, we'll have a ton of content dropping on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, breaking down some of the top players and overall performances that we witnessed on Sunday. We're continuing it today with a look at some of the top quarterbacks that really stood out to us throughout the afternoon. Piedmont junior [player_tooltip player_id='1339151' first='Grayson' last='May'] was already featured earlier this week in our MVP Breakdown after he earned MVP honors from this quarterback group. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more content coming from Sunday's camp!

[player_tooltip player_id='1511450' first='Cash' last='Koertner'] - Sophomore - Del City

Del City sophomore signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1511450' first='Cash' last='Koertner'] had a good showing on Sunday and it started with the testing portion of camp. Koertner put up some good results in the testing session and that momentum carried over into the drills and ultimately to 1 on 1's. Koertner was a surprise to us in 2024 as he was a first year starter on a Del City offense that was not lacking talent. And you could see his progression throughout he season and watching him go to work on Sunday with a front row view of the different throws he can make definitely helped our opinion of him moving forward. He also looks bigger than we remembered after watching him in person last fall. Koertner should definitely continue to gain some momentum this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] - Sophomore - Davis

We wrote about Davis sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] yesterday as he finished in the top ten for three out of the four testing drills on Sunday. Owens definitely tested off the charts but that didn't come as a surprise after watching him in person three times during the Davis run to a state championship. We were more interested in watching him throw the ball because that's simply something that the Wolves don't do much and haven't had to do much. But when Owens came to work on Sunday, he impressed us. The deep ball really caught our attention and the accuracy on the different routes. Davis didn't throw the ball much but when they did, it was usually quick and to catch a defense off guard. Owens was incredibly effective as a passer on Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260997' first='Dylan' last='Taylor'] - Sophomore - Union

This was the third straight Prep Redzone camp in Oklahoma that Union sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1260997' first='Dylan' last='Taylor'] has attended and we're already hoping he makes it four straight when we have our spring event. We first saw Taylor at this time last year and then again in April. The jump he made from January to April last year was one of the best jumps we saw from repeat campers in 2024. And then watching Taylor again on Sunday, he's made another significant leap in his development and was one of the quarterbacks that the position coaches circled as one of the top guys. The last time we wrote about him, he was labeled as "most improved" but now he's just labeled as one of the best at the position from his coaches. His arrow is definitely pointing up in a major way.

[player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] - Junior - Copan

We had a few 8-man standouts on Sunday but Copan junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='935005' first='Kane' last='Foreman'] might be at the top of that list. First off, Foreman immediately passed the eye test as he is a good looking quarterback. Without checking out his film, we have to imagine he was tearing things up in the ground game with his size at the 8-man level. But Foreman has an absolute rocket attached to his shoulder that makes him a very dangerous quarterback moving forward. From our time watching the quarterbacks, we're confident in saying that Foreman had one of the strongest arms in attendance. We were really impressed with Foreman and he was another example of a prospect that we didn't know much about coming in but now are more interested moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1167484' first='Michael' last='Kent'] - Freshman - Bartlesville

At this time last year, Bartlesville freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1167484' first='Michael' last='Kent'] was participating in our Prep Redzone Next camp as a middle schooler. Fast forward to this month and he started for the Bruins as a freshman in a different position but eventually finished the year at quarterback. Needless to say, Kent's stock is pointing up. So when he came to the Stock Up Showcase, we were fired up to see what he could do with another year under his belt. Kent performed well despite the cold conditions and we can definitely see a ton of growth in his game compared to just 12 months ago. Kent is one of only a handful of quarterback prospects in the state's 2028 class that will go into the 2025 football season with some starting experience under center.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] - Sophomore - Blanchard

Blanchard sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] was one of the quarterbacks that the camp coaches pointed out as being one of the top signal callers from the group. Smith got some playing time in the fall while Blanchard's QB1 was dealing with some injuries and he held his own. Moving forward, he has the potential to be one of the better quarterbacks in this class and we were definitely impressed with him after watching him in person. He's another guy that really passed the eye test right away and he looks the part from a physical standpoint. And while we thought he performed really well, it always makes us feel better about a prospect when a coach echos that thought. Smith has a lot to work with moving forward and could be a breakout player in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293011' first='Promised' last='Johnson'] - Sophomore - Bristow

Bristow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1293011' first='Promised' last='Johnson'] is in a similar boat to Owens at Davis. Coming into the camp on Sunday, we knew that Johnson was a terrific athlete after watching him in spring drills in 2024. He played a variety of positions and played them at a high level. On Sunday, we got a chance to watch him work as a pure passer and there's definitely some ability there. Whenever we get a chance to see the dual-threat quarterbacks come out and out perform any expectations as a pure passer, that's a good sign moving forward. Bristow will have a new coach for the second straight year in 2025 but they'll be in good shape with an overall playmaker like Johnson returning. And he's shown that he can beat a defense in a variety of ways.
