PRZWV Showcase Preview: Prospects to Know

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is finally my favorite time of the year, Showcase Season! Our Prep redzone Showcase events held throughout the country for the next couple of months, bring kids the exposure and attention they would not get initially. I love to watch kids and coaches compete, it seriously is the one thing I enjoy most about my role with this company. This Sunday I a making the 3 plus hour trip to cover our West Virginia Showcase at The Bridge Sports Complex. Playing corner, running back and receiver for Robert C. Byrd High School, this showcase can really do wonders for his recruitment. I can see by my co-workers previous articles that Jones has already stood out at other showcases, one final push should solidify his commitment. Watching his tape he looks like a defensive back at the next level, but that is not up for me to decide. The All state running back capped off an outstanding senior season and he could benefit greatly in front of many colleges coaches this Sunday. Checking thru his recruitment history, I am stunned he does not have more offers, he had over 50 touchdowns this past season! I agree with Layton's assessment of him, while he may get ignored by the D1 schools, whatever D2 program that lands him will have a steal. Baker is 6'3 and 280 lbs. of pure athleticism, I would love to see him in the PSAC next fall. Sounds like he has been dominating defensive lineman since his freshmen year for James Monroe high school, time for him to take it to the next level. Looking forward to see how he matches up with their running backs in the 1v1 portion. On tape he certainly holds his own for Nicholas County High School. Nash is no stranger to showing out at our previous showcases, sounds like he made quite the impression at the Winter Exposure. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On tape he is a sideline to sideline backer whose skill set will transition well at the D2 level or higher in my opinion. This kid is a baller at outside linebacker for Phillip Barbour, earning All-State honors as a junior. Earning Class AA second team all state selections, Vance does everything at the linebacker position very well. He can run with any back and will hit you in the mouth with the ball in your hands. A surefire hard hitting tackler, Vance needs to get his social media in line so he can get more exposure. You can see the potential on tape and our very own Alan Popadines did a great breakdown of his work back in June. When West Virginia does their updated 2028 rankings you can be sure to see Avery's name high on their list. The Division 1 potential is their and he had a good freshmen season for the Highlanders. Colleges will be salivating at his talent and he could prove everyone right with a good showing on Sunday. I will be curious to see how he holds up in the 1v1 portion as this is typically very hard for many offensive lineman to do. My bet is he does well and by this time next year he is one of the highest ranked recruits in the state. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
