2026 Rankings Update- New Explosive Pass Catchers

Our new 2026 Rankings Update is live! With that, we have been looking at some of our newest additions to our class!   Today, we looking at some more of our dynamic pass catchers across the state! These guys killed it last fall and are set up for huge senior seasons, be sure to watch their tape below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1604821' first='Jeremiah' last='Tabb'] emerged as a key playmaker in Hoovers' passing game last fall, making big-time plays against talented secondaries all season long. At 6'2 200, Tabb is a massive threat on the outside- he's got great size, is highly athletic, and can make plays at every level of the field. Tabb has a great set of hands and can make massive grabs all around the field- he is great in one-on-one situations, consistently pulling away from defenders for huge catches downfield. Tabb also has great YAC ability- he sees the field really well and gains tons of extra yardage after the catch. Tabb produced a lot last season- ending his junior year with 23 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns. After his breakout season last fall, Tabb has received some collegiate interest- picking up offers from Arkansas, Memphis, UAB, and plenty of others. Be sure to check out his tape below- he's got a ton of talent!      [player_tooltip player_id='401133' first='Omari' last='Smith'] had a big junior season last fall for Pike Road's passing attack, making key plays out of the slot all year long. Smith is explosive with the ball in his hands and feasts off opportunities anywhere on the field- taking short/screen passes the distance, hauling in huge catches downfield, and catching through contact over the middle of the field as well. Smith is incredibly fast and plays with a ton of speed- he can easily stretch the field for his offense and frequently makes defenders miss when he's on ht move. Smith has made a ton of huge catches for his offense over the last two years and is set up for a huge senior season next fall. Smith was a key piece in Pike Road's offense last season, ending his year with 40 receptions for 606 yards and 8 touchdowns in the air, and 11 carries for 67 yards on the ground. Smith has picked up collegiate interest from Appalachian State and UAB over the last few years- be sure to check out his tape below, he's a seriously talented player!      [player_tooltip player_id='1525038' first='Joshua' last='Jones'] is a really gifted WR out of Baker who made a ton of plays against some talented defenses last season. Jones has great speed and acceleration at WR- once he secures catches in the open field it's difficult for defenses to catch up to him. Jones has a talented set of hands he uses to make tough catches all around the field, he's hauled in some incredible catches along the sideline, deep downfield, and that were heavily contested. Jones is capable of taking shorter routes to the house, he's an explosive threat out wide that everyone's going to have to keep track of next season. Jones was one of the top receivers in Baker's offense last fall, ending the year with 49 receptions for 661 yards and 4 touchdowns. Be sure to watch Jones' tape below- he can make a ton of plays out wide and has a ton of potential!      [player_tooltip player_id='1604814' first='Cates' last='Blackmon'] is our top TE in our 2026 Rankings, and rightfully so- he's been incredibly reliable for Enterprise as a pass catcher and dominant blocker up front. Blackmon is a really reliable safety valve in his team's passing attack- he consistently finds ways to get open, has great hands, and makes life a lot easier for quarterbacks under pressure. Blackmon is also a dominant run blocker- he explodes off the line, plays with great leverage and strength, and frequently drives defenders into the dirt to open up massive opportunities for the run game. Blackmon was really effective in both ways last season, but especially as a red zone threat- ending the year with 14 receptions for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns. Check out Blackmon's film below, he's a talented player who deserves more eyes. Blackmon picked up an offer from Alabama A@M last year and is sure to have more on the way soon- keep an eye out!      [player_tooltip player_id='1507895' first='Brayden' last='Collins'] is a really talented slot receiver out of Ohatchee who has made a ton of huge catches for his offense, especially last fall. Collins and QB [player_tooltip player_id='1596324' first='Jake' last='Roberson'] helped lead one of the state's top passing units last fall, and Collins was a huge part of that- his ability to get open and make explosive plays in the passing game is hard to look over. Collins is a crafty route runner out of the slot that can embarrass DBs lined across from him- he gains terrific separation off the line and at every level of the field, leading to a ton of targets from his QB. When targeted, Collins has a great set of hands and YAC abilities that allow him to break off some massive gains downfield and into the endzone. Collins was incredibly reliable for Ohatchee's offense last year, ending the year with 54 receptions for 1096 yards and 9 touchdowns. Collins has been a really exciting player to keep track of- be sure to watch his film below, he's put together some great tape and deserves more eyes!
