Collins and QB Jake Roberson Jake Roberson 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Ohatchee | 2025 State AL helped lead one of the state’s top passing units last fall, and Collins was a huge part of that- his ability to get open and make explosive plays in the passing game is hard to look over. Collins is a crafty route runner out of the slot that can embarrass DBs lined across from him- he gains terrific separation off the line and at every level of the field, leading to a ton of targets from his QB. When targeted, Collins has a great set of hands and YAC abilities that allow him to break off some massive gains downfield and into the endzone. Collins was incredibly reliable for Ohatchee’s offense last year, ending the year with 54 receptions for 1096 yards and 9 touchdowns. It’s really impressive watching Collins match up against defensive backs- he does a great job using his athleticism and physicality to his advantage and can do some great things after the catch as well. It’s been easy to see this season, Collins has recorded 51 receptions for 1080 yards and 9 touchdowns this fall. It’s really impressive watching Collins run his routes- he makes some sharp cuts and gets in and out of his breaks with ease, allowing him to consistently beat defensive backs all around the field. It’s been easy to see this season, Collins currently lists 44 receptions for 839 yards and 9 touchdowns in just 5 games played, making him an explosive playmaker. It’s been really exciting to watch Collins in his breakout season, he’s had himself a great start to the year and is only going to keep getting better.
