He snaps out of his stance, is very technically sound with a heavy punch and excels both in pass protection and the run game/blocking in space. His ability to play the run, cover in space/downfield and being a true thumper in the box makes him very balanced and intriguing at the next level. He shows he can cover a ton of ground at the third level and does an excellent job at dropping into the box, running ally's downhill and brings a very good thump at the point of attack. Late in his Junior year he really started to take off and gathered offers from Army, Eastern Washington, Nevada, Idaho, and New Mexico before committing to the Cowboys. He is very technically sound, has strong hands/good bend for his size and is a high motor kid that quickly gets knock-back and controls the line of scrimmage. He shows he can redirect flat, and rush the passer from either the edge or inside. He is very athletic for his size, has a huge wingspan and is a natural bender in and out of his stance. Perkins is very balanced against both the run and the pass and is patient while able to block both speed and power rushers and shows he can finish blocks downfield and excels at blocking in tight windows, but can scrape to the second level when needed.
