What prospects made an impact at the State Finals? We examine them by class including here in State Finals: 2026 Offensive Standouts!

RB [player_tooltip player_id='401606' first='Greyson' last='Kelly'] (Batavia - 2026)

Kelly is a versatile weapon that can line up all over the field. Projects best long term as a running back or slot receiver. Catches passes with soft hands along with running crisp routes. Lined up in the wildcat for score on the goal line. Finished with 5 carries for 19 yards and a touchdown along with 4 grabs netting 49 yards.

RB/DL Aiden Wild (Lena-Winslow - 2026)

Wild is a 6'2” 205 pound running back and defensive end. As a runner he showed he can be physical running up the middle along with getting to the outside running on sweeps. When he got downhill he was a tough tackle with his speed and power combination. Also shined as a defensive end crashing down the line a few times making plays.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1585285' first='Alec' last='Schlichting'] (Lena-Winslow - 2026)

Schlichting is a smaller back at 5'9” 145 pounds that is shifty and quick with his footwork. Best using his vision getting to the perimeter where he has good speed. Hit a 45 yard touchdown on the outside.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='1585141' first='Trenton' last='Walker'] (Nazareth Academy - 2026)

Walker was a prospect that really caught my attention. The junior stands at 6'3” 185 pounds. He caught a 75 yard TD on a bomb to begin the game. Wins on short route out route and powered in for a second score. Gets off the line with ease well for his size. Snatches the ball out of the air. Definitely going to make a nice debut in our next 2026 rankings. Finished with 4 catches for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns.

WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='1585203' first='CJ' last='Harkins'] (Montini – 2026)

Harkins definitely made a name for himself in the 3A victory for Montini. At 6'2” 180 pounds Harkins impacted on both sides of the ball. Offensively he scored touchdowns of 55 yards on a bubble screen along with another 70 yard score on a short pass. He is absolutely electric as a yards after catch threat. Also made a nice play defensively in the secondary breaking up a pass in the endzone. He had 4 catches for 120 yards and 2 scores.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='1585213' first='Brett' last='Berggren'] (Batavia - 2026)

Berggren became the favorite target of his sophomore quarterback. He was very reliable with his size and hands. The 6'1” 180 pound junior reeled in 8 catches for 191 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win making a name for himself especially as a redzone threat.

TE [player_tooltip player_id='212319' first='JC' last='Anderson'] (Mt. Zion - 2026)

Quiet game for Anderson as they just couldn't get him the ball. He caught a short pass to end the half and that was about it. The size, athleticism, and route running still pop even when he doesn't get the ball thrown his way.

TE [player_tooltip player_id='1585186' first='Simon' last='Kodosky'] (York - 2026)

Kodosky was the most reliable receiver for the Dukes. Good safety net on 3rd down. Caught a deep ball that was hanging up in the air almost like he was receiving a punt. Went for 3 catches and 55 yards.

TE [player_tooltip player_id='1292230' first='Hunter' last='Stepanich'] (York - 2026)

This 6'7” and 220 pound tight end only had 1 catch for 10 yards on a pass over The middle setting his team up near the goal line, but he intrigued with his size and way he moves for his size.

OL [player_tooltip player_id='1585136' first='Terrell' last='Berryhill Jr'] (East St. Louis - 2026)

Intrigued with his long and lean 6'4” 250 pound left tackle. Projectable frame with the ability to add more bulk. Solid pass protector with a nice kick slide. Also did work in the run game opening up holes all game long.

OL Angelo DeSensi (Montini - 2026)

DeSensi had a strong game as the 6'5” 245 pound right tackle moves bodies in the run game and is a solid pass blocker. Mobile enough to get downfield on screens. One to watch over the next year!
