It was great to see my guys, Brendan Mankarious, Ed O'Brien, and [player_tooltip player_id='1685945' first='Vic' last='Castillo'], at camp. Who continue to be strong voices in their areas and will all have some stuff out this week on camp - Brendan will post the Camp Overall MVPs at the end of the week while we feature lots of athletes. For the next few days I will be focusing on the group of New York prospects who really came out and performed well at PRZ Camp.

Quarterback

Interesting group - these three stood out but none of them were able to separate as the best NY QB at the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575819' first='Travis' last='Berschwinger'] - Guilderland 2026

6010 - 200lbs - 74.2in Wing - 9.8in Hand - 8'1 Broad Jump - 5.09 40-Yard - 4.62 Shuttle - 4.65 L Drill (All Hand Timed)

Berschwinger came into camp with the most on-field experience and was measured/tested among the top quarterbacks. In Drills, Berschwinger had some throws I thought many others couldn't have made, but he was up and down consistently. I liked his sophomore film a lot, and he was one of the better athletes overall in the position. If he can compound the things he does well, there will continue to be some positive development in his accuracy and timing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575822' first='Vincent' last='Geller'] - Tottenville 2027

6010 - 191lbs - 73.2in Wing - 10.2in Hand - 8' Broad Jump - 5.16 40-Yard - 4.91 Shuttle - 4.82 L Drill (All Hand Timed)

Geller, I believe, was the only Lefty at camp - he did not start at Tottenville this year with an upperclassman in the mix already at QB, but he threw some nice balls at camp - like the way he pushed the ball down the field. Geller can continue to improve that short-area accuracy - working with new receivers can be hard, but there were a few throws he left out there. Smoothest release of the NY prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575821' first='Vincent' last='Banculli'] - North Babylon 2027

6000 - 165lbs - 73.5in Wing - 9.7in Hand - 7'9 Broad Jump - 5.12 40-Yard - 4.75 Shuttle - 4.78 L Drill (All Hand Timed)

Banculli was one of the few Long Island prospects. I liked his release; it was very quick and snappy, and he was one of my favorite quarterbacks through the INDY period he is. Still, an underclassman continuing to add more velocity and strength to his throws will be key, but I think he does a lot of things really well.

I was really impressed with his testing numbers; across the board, he tested like an athlete with some long speed and short-area quickness. Muscular body type with some ankle flexibility and loose hips.

Performance-wise, there was a lot to like; the overall movement skills are there, and Barnwell does a great job moving with a low center of gravity and balance.

You ask any of the WR/DB/QB coaches or any of the scouts at the event who the best WR was, and they all would say #10 - Eaton was very good all camp, especially in the 1v1s.

His performance came from his ability to separate; he showed good short-area explosiveness out of his breaks and was one of the few WR prospects who could effectively break any direction. We saw a full route tree from Eaton and consistent success. A good finisher in 1v1s, he made a lot of tough catches, and has a very efficient transition upfield.

Eaton was on the WL headed into this season and was one of the top newcomer WRs in the CHSFL this season. A strong regular season and a strong camp performance have really started to put Eaton on the map with New York's top 2026 WRs.

White is a name I got a while ago, but there was never film until just recently - his profile was created in April of 2023, and it was a full circle moment when he came to PRZ camp and was one of the best linemen there.

White is an interior prospect by size, but I don't have concerns with his size transitioning to the next level because of his athleticism and strength at camp. I think strong underlying measurables like his Wing and Hand size could also indicate more growth.

White plays with quick feet and does a great job of staying grounded and anchoring consistently - he was 1 of 3 offensive linemen at camp who could effectively anchor and hold their ground consistently. His lateral movements are what set him a part, guys who tried pass rush moves that required some width White was always there and square to the defender. One of the more impressive OL prospects all day.

Mercer came into the camp the highest touted prospect and one of the few who came into camp with offers to his name - Mercer tested well. He would have had stronger shuttle numbers, but he slipped a little on his best attempt.

Overall, the athleticism was evident in the 1v1s and Indy period. Mercer repped both sides of the ball, but his defensive line work was the best, and it is likely where he will end up at the next level anyway. Mercer has a deep bag of pass-rush moves; his spin is his best move, and his quickness and power stand apart. Mercer continues to develop his athleticism. Every time I see him, he is a little bit better.

Guinyard, who had a strong first run with Stepinac varsity this year and was one of the better EDGE/LB prospects in the CHSFL, was a standout at camp both testing and in drills/1v1s.

Guinyard moves well, and he has a great frame with a long, lean, athletic build. I liked his movement skills; he was one of the few LBs who consistently could stay with the RBs, even some of the smaller, twitchy backs. I moved him to the DL group for some reps off the edge, really like the burst and closing speed. He showed the ability to get around the edge as a speed guy - I like his overall versatility as an off-ball linebacker who can impact the game as a blitzer and pass rusher.

Pasqualone could have had the best NY performance of anyone with the way he was able to win reps consistently on both sides of the ball and was one of the best athletic testers at the event, even though he was still not quite 100% from the hamstring injury he dealt with all season.

Pasqualone pretty much had his way most of camp. He had some good battles at WR with some Jersey CBs who stood out, but I was extremely impressed with his work at DB - he plays primarily offense for Monsignor Farrell, but his man coverage skills stood out. He showed great ball skills, probably because of his WR experience. No DB found the ball more than Pasqualone, and even on some of the reps where coverage wasn't as tight, his recovery speed and vertical helped him make plays on the ball.
